    :yep I don't mean shady in the classical sense, I guess a better word is sketch because I'm not sure if what they're trying to do will work, but I hope so

    Here's what Gamboa's lawyer had to say;

    "There was no breach, because Yuriorkis never agreed to fight the fight, and he never gave them any indication that he was going to fight the the fight. In fact, nobody from Top Rank ever had any direct contact with Yuriorkis at any time leading up to the fight....We're filing for dismissal on the grounds that Top Rank is trying to get around the basic bottom line of the case, which is the original promotional agreement that Gamboa signed with Arena Box. Arena Box took that agreement and went and did a co-promotional agreement with Top Rank, subsequently,...Now, if the original agreement with Arena Box is invalid, which it is, then Arena Box had no right to get with Top Rank on the co-promotion. They're saying that they have a co-promotional agreement and an attestation signed by my client, but my client never signed any such thing. It's not true. He never signed it."

    Problem is Gamboa took $75K as an advance which in contract law constitutes an acceptance. I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

    That is the word, Arum might have a air tight contract but the turk probably doesn't under USA laws, I was very surprised to heard Oner say that he has Gamboa under contract until 2016, which under the Ali act it is illegal, counting of course since he turn pro a few years back...

    Not neccessarily. Furthermore, we don't know the circumstances under which he took the money.

    This of course would make their contract invalid. If Oner has no contract with Gamboa, he would have no right to make co-promotional agreement with Arum. The courts will sort this out.

    Arum is a Harvard lawyer and has been in the business for donkey's years. Even if Gamboa's lawyer can out-legal him, Arum can appeal and drag it out to make Gamboa suffer. Hopefully they just settle and make up a new contract.

    A-yessir! :happy

    Lol, it's funny how some people from team Pac (I'm PACSMASH fan over Mayweather personally) actually want to see Gamboa get screwed, and sit out as long as possible, and get the shyt sued out of him, rather than actually see him just fight as soon as possible, promotional banner notwithstanding. . . Lol they have actually become fans of "Top Rank" they hate Floyd so bad.

    Gamboa is just too good of a boxer to be sitting out - he brings too much to the sport.

    Boxing fan first!
