Update: Joshua will fight in March, but not against Wilder

If by some chance AJ was the one who got the knockout, would you give him due credit?

 

These three make sense on different levels...

Hrgovic - Position... As far as getting back into belts, he makes the most sense.

Zhang - Challenge... Probably the best of the three, useful enough for ranking positioning too.

Ngannou - Casual attention... Like it or not, casuals pay the bills - and that Fury fight left questions hanging over Francis.. was Francis good, or Fury awful? Can Francis box? Can AJ demolish another fighter Fury struggled with?


Wilder cannot compete with what Hrgovic or Zhang bring to the table... But the AJ-Wilder bout would still appeal to casuals at least as much as Ngannou.

In that regard, Ngannou is the one out of the three that makes the least sense.

 

I'm going to posit here that AJ has his biggest difficulty with guys who have uncanny hand speed -- Ruiz and of course Usyk. And in the case of Ruiz, it wasn't so much AJ's suspect jaw.... if you'll recall, it was his temple that Ruiz caught.

He needs to fight big bang

 

Those three and then Fury for undisputed would be an epic comeback.

 

It will be Hrgovic. IBF will strip the Fury/Usyk winner 5 minutes after the fight ends.

People are disappointed about Ngannou? I personally would love to see more of Ngannou against top competition -- I think Ngannou is the real deal.

 

Ngannou gets hurt badly if it happens.

I'm rooting for Zhang to get the fight though as I think he is deserving.

Hrgovic and Zhang are great fights. I prefer Hrgovic as he beat Zhang in a very clsose fight.

Ngannou fight is waste of time. Why is he being considered? Because he caused Fury problems? So did Wallin and that was a walk in the park for AJ.

 

Aj will obviously take Ngannou very seriously, but I would do some laughing to see big Frank walk him down and Ko him

Fury beats Usyk in February and Frank/Hrgovic/Zhang stops Aj. This forum will go on a complete meltdown and I cannot wait lol

 

Their fight is on the 17th feb so it possibly doesn’t leave enough time to announce a fight for March. It’s likely that it will be sorted before then.

 

This might be an unpopular opinion but I think AJ has a better chance vs Zhang than he does Hrgovic.

 

Didn't these hypocrites just spend copious time attacking Fury for the mma circus fight?

 

Zhang could end the AJ joke resume once and for all.
