Yeah, or Wilder or perhaps Ruiz.

If he beats any of them and Joshua beats Zhang and Hrgovic, by all means a fight by the end of the year would be alright.

Let's see what Joshua decides. The money is of course tempting, but he also wants fights that takes him close to undisputed and this one won't do much in that regard. Zhang could very well be the best of both worlds, lots of money with the whole China audience and a step close to undisputed.

Hrgovic will be tempting if it's for the IBF belt, but it would probably also mean the least money. Would set up a fight with Zhang even better, though, if he wins

Whenever Hearn gives 3 options the shittest one is always the real one.

It depends on the perspective of view

On the one hand It might make every sense since ( assuming aj dominates ngannou )

    - aj clearly dominated the man who knocked down fury and gave him hell
    - the saudis will pay a ton of cash for this fight , more than fir a fight vs zhang or hrgovic
    - aj is the man who restores boxing pride .
    -easiest opponent of the three

All is all great payday and great resume

    Downside

    - big big drama if aj looses against a 'boxing newbie' ... and against ngannou everything might happen
    - no belt on the table

I personally believe hearn will hold aj back since vurtually nothing is known about ngannou,s true capabilities in a boxing ring and the risk is not low for aj unless his trainer is absolutely sure its a walk in the park for aj .

We can certainly agree on one thing, Ngannou is high risk low reward. I think the guy showed in the Fury fight he has the ability and athleticism to be a top contender. I still question whether he can beat the best guys on their day (top 10-15 guys) but time will tell. I much prefer the Hrgovic and Zhang fights, I want to see Ngannou get some wins before another big fight.

Disappointing considering the options he had. It's a no win situation he has to look good vs Ngannou anything other than an immaculate performance means he struggled with a guy with a 0-1 record. Yes so did Fury but we all know Fury has always been inconsistent and Joshua other than the Ruiz fight has always been pretty consistent.

This could end up being another banana skin though, if he looks beyond Ngannou like he did with Ruiz, he could end up having another embarrassing loss. Will be interesting to see how he acts during the build up, if he's focused on the fight or if he again goes into business man mode and talks stupid **** like calling himself a brand.

I’ve always given credit to AJ for being willing to take risks unlike Wilder for example. However, nothing will ever change the fact that he is a Glass Jawed fighter and a mental midget.

Almost no one will give him credit for this as he's fighting someone who's never won a single boxing fight.

I'm just interested because you seem to be the only person who thinks AJ is going to lose this one, so you'll be one of the few to credit him for it.

I never said AJ would lose to Ngannou. I said Big Bang Zhang would knock AJ out.

But if he beats Zhang you'll give him lots of credit then right? Despite the age of Zhang?
