I am Scottish and a burns fan but I am totally disgusted by this decision. The wbo need to take action so that they can keep some credibility. Hopefully they carry out a proper investigation into the fight and the guy who scored the fight in burns favour.
Most of us feel the same mate.Never in my life did I think I would have so much sympathy for an opponent of Ricky. Don't get half the hate when nearly every Burns fan I know think Beltran was robbed. And I firmly believe Ricky feels the same.
Yep the truth with a blend of psychology and extreme violence... oh and winding Jocks up which has worked absolutely brilliant. But the route core of my message was the truth, I do agree with that one.
At the end of the day I aint hatin just think a rematch is something that needs to be sorted cos I think rickys the kind of guy who wouldn't want to move on without setting the record straight. The only problem is would hearn be keen and would beltran want to come back to Scotland after that result.
I am a jock and your not winding me up but you could do with cutting out the personal insults to billy and other ppl cos it doesn't help your argument which is generally right. At the end of the day I appreciate the fact billy comes on here to chat and give his opinion even though I don't agree with it. How many trainers of world champions are willing to come on chat on an almost daily basis about there preparation and what not.
Yeah you're right mucka, I know I've been a right gobby mother fvck. But it's banter man, if you go on an website, especially boxing sites.. You're going to run into trolls that are 100 times as bad as me. I'm not even a troll, I was just bored playing the waiting game most of the day so spiced it up a bit. Billy Nelson shouldn't of bailed... should of just posted what he wanted to say and left it at that because after a robbery like that you're going to get ****, especially when you're trying to make out it was a lot closer than what it was. So if you're reading this Billy, get back on here ya big fat soppy *******, it's only a bit of banter.
lol too many sensitive divas out there, back to point tho who wins a rematch and where is it held. would ppl consider London a fair venue.
You're not going to get a fair venue as such, but at least make sure they get good ref and judges in and make it fvcking fair cos that was embarrassing the other night if they want the truth. I think Ricky could win it but that's depending what Beltran does in the mean time, he could go away and get beat while Burns is healing so if they fight again by that time some of the spunk might of gone out of him. I think if it's the same Beltran from the other night then Ricky is going to have a tough night but one that he could deffo come through and win. Considering he had a broken jaw he still managed to take the last round that tells ya a lot in my book.
I didn't think you were hatin mate.Just agreeing with your point. I still think the same result would've happened in London but the reality is,the whole Ricky operation relies on gate money for the bulk of the wages, and after the Vasquez debacle(me and my boy lost £700 through that) Morrison is very wary of having the same sort of angry punters that the cancellation brought him. But there is a solution even though I don't think they'll go for it. Top Rank promote Beltran and have complained about the decision. They have the means to put this fight on in an undercard now they have formally complained. They could show a bit of faith in Beltran but TR have been penny pinching with the likes of Rigo,so I don't see them putting up the wages for both guys even as a support on a major card. But it's an option if they are genuinely worried about another robbery, and they also have Crawford on the books. Sadly,I think it's Glasgow or nothing though.
The judge that scored it burns favour needs to be investigated cos he must of been bribed or is massively incompetent. I think the rematch would end in a points decision to burns although I think we would all agree beltran is capable of winning as he effectively already did in the first match.
Sadly,I think it's Glasgow or nothing though.[/quote] Glasgow would be alright again as long as the judgings fair. At the end of the day the best we fans can hope for imo is that rematch gets made and the boxing fans get another good match up.
Dunno what I can say to that, I am a guy who normally just browses the forum but decided to join the chat. If you think I am the other bloke with a different account then there aint much I can do to prove it. maybe through facebook or somthin like that. This whole forum could be just a few ppl with many different accounts if you want to go down that road
