It's all academic. Fury is the size and shape of a very large version of Dustin Nicholls, looks/sounds knackered all the time and clearly has long term mental issues to deal with. Much as i'd like to see him back, he won't be.
Yes, that's true too. I'd pick the Fury of November 2015 to beat AJ of April 2017 based on styles, but that's just a guess. And it's a question that has no answer. I doubt Fury will ever get back to anything like that form, IF he even comes back .... and I expect AJ to improve some more over the next couple of years. So everything would favour AJ in the real world. On the other hand, I wouldn't be at all surprised if AJ loses to some unheralded underdog along the way. He should forget about Fury and focus on these others out there because some of them will see his vulnerabilities and exploit them. HW division is wide open.
That's pretty much how I see the HW division atm, I can see Wilder, AJ, Ortiz, Parker all picking up losses in the near future. I can't see their being one dominant champ for any long period of time.
Tyson Fury remains trapped in limbo. http://www.skysports.com/boxing/new...i-doping-hearing-still-has-no-resumption-date
AJs win against Wlad was FAR superior to TFs'. The performance Wlad put in against AJ was FAR superior to the one he put in against TF.
For the record, Tyson Fury has had just 5 fights in the last 5 years which includes 1 world title fight. Anthony Joshua is about to fight his 5th world title fight in 18 months....
It is his own fault. He had a choice whether to take various substances, which has resulted in him 'failing' three drug tests.
That's because Fury shut him out. Fury didn't allow him to perform. People who understand boxing understand this. Wlad's been in tip-top consistent professional shape for the last decade or two. He prepares right and performs right. Everyone knows he's "robotic" but he's a damn good boxing robot. I just so happens Fury was the guy who could handle him and make him ineffective. That's boxing. Just accept it and move on. It smacks of insecurity among AJ's supporters (and Fury critics) that they try denying the obvious fact that Fury made easy work of Wlad while AJ went life-and-death. And that equals a better win, especially since Fury dethroned the man no one else could. It's unnecessary because AJ is definitely the more exciting fighter, definitely produced a more exciting fight, is way more popular, famous and rich and will almost definitely go on to surpass Fury's achievements hands down. The impatient rush to erase Fury-Wlad from history and raise the sporting significance of AJ's win over Wlad is foolish talk. Give credit where it's due, even if you hate the man.
I have no idea what dream world you come from, but AJs achievements have already far exceeded TFs one off.
AJs faced one meaningful opponent, Wlad. The same guy that's Fury's "one off". So what are you talking about ?
I don't have to accept anything. TF at the time of his Wlad fight was benefitting from having PEDs in his system. AJ, as of now, has never failed a drug test. Hopefully if UKAD are consistant, they hand TF a ban of 8 years to life. If they don't, they risk appeals from every previous ban they ever made. When he is found guilty, he should also have his 'win' struck from the record books as you would in other sports. There would also be a possiblilty after of Wlad initiating lawsuits against TF. AJ has won the title and defended it several times. TF never has. You are not a true champion if you don't defend your crown.
Could someone clarify what exactly Fury is suspended for at present or is it an accumulation of the following? A) Testing positive for Nandrolone B) Admission of using recreation drugs C) Mental health issues
I can't be bothered with all this Fury beat Vlad better than AJ or vice versa s**t. Look they both did superbly against an ATG and both deserve credit. AJ is easily the top HW at the moment and if Fury gets back in physical and mental shape he will join him at the top. Very different fighters but both way better than any other HW (very much including Windmill).
