Update: Shannon Taylor NOT dead, he is still on life support

Shocking, apparent drug overdose. Very sad news, only 39. Damn..RIP champ. Thoughts and prayers with his family.

November is over soon and it's a good thing. Boxing has lost so many people.

I read he was in the hospital; no mention that he passed.

He was on life support, now its been reported that he died by local news. Wish I were wrong.

Seriously, wtf? Things like this seem to happen all at once (Forrest, Gatti, Arguello, Valero were all within a few weeks)

 

My only memory of him was prime Mosley giving him a brutal beating.

Damn shame. I added him on FB a while back. Always seemed like a good guy and used to post up nice highlight videos of past fighters from time to time and would give updates on his training and such. Rest in peace, Shannan.

Looks like you may be right, thankfully, my deepest apologies to everyone reading this. It was being reported that he died by the news story I read

 

I remember Shannan hitting him with maybe 2-3 solid shots in the 5 rounds they fought. Mosley was impressed with his toughness. RIP.

"Victim of underworld hit?" Will be interesting to see what is found out about that. Great to hear there are some signs of improvement and he is somewhat alert.
