Hey guys :) I was reading this article and wanted to share it with you guys. As boxing fans are we satisfied with these rankings?

Boxing has taken it’s hits from MMA in the last several years but it now appears it is making a comeback while being led by these “Top 10 Fighters in the World”. The mixture of young fighters Victor Ortiz and Canelo Alvarez with older fighters Sergio Martinez and Manny Pacquiao has set the stage for exciting fights to come over the next few years. This updated ranking has one new addition, Amir Khan, who recently silenced critics with a dominant performance against Zab Judah. We did have to leave out one fighter, Floyd Mayweather, due to inactivity. Otherwise our top 10 would look a little different. So here is how we rank them:

    10. Timothy Bradley, 27-0-1, 140 Pounds: He missed his big payday and loss respect in the boxing community when he avoided Amir Khan. Can he make up loss ground? We will see.
    9. Amir Khan, 26-1, 140: Khan dismantled Zab Judah without effort. He is one more dominate fight away from being in the rotation of big pay day fighters. The rest of the boxing world should take notice that Khan appears bigger, faster and more determined than ever.
    8. Andre Ward, 24-0, 168 Pounds: The Olympic Gold Medalist hasn’t received much mainstream praise although he is undefeated.
    7. Canelo Alvarez, 37-0-1, 154 Pounds: The fast rising star from Mexico has been impressive in recent bouts. But what is most impressive of those fights is you can see the progression of his fighting skills every time he steps into the ring. He will be a mega star as long as he doesnt get blinded from the spotlight along the way.
    6. Juan Manuel Marquez, 52-5-1, 135 Pounds: The technically sound and ultimate professional Marquez unfortunately one loss to Manny Pacquiao away to being out of the top 10.
    5. Victor Ortiz, 29-2-2, 147 Pounds: The hype about the upcoming fight against Floyd Mayweather is starting to build. Can Ortiz survive the pressure of this mega fight?
    4. Nonito Donaire, 26-1, 118 Pounds: The “Filipino Flash” lived up to his nickname when he TKO’d Fernando Montiel earlier this year.
    3. Wladimir Klitschko, 56-3, Heavyweight: I guess we will get no Klitschko on Klitschko crime as the brothers reiterated they will not fight each other.
    2. Sergio Martinez, 47-2-2, 160 Pounds: Martinez vs. Pacquiao….. Only in my dreams and Pacquiao’s nightmare.
    1. Manny Pacquiao, 53-3-2, 147 Pounds: The “Citizen of the World” is the most likable and popular person in boxing. Fighting Floyd Mayweather would cement his status in boxing history. A fight with Martinez would be a great replacement however.

Disagree with Alvarez and Khan, they're not even top 15 yet IMO. Otherwise a decent list.

I very strongly disagree with Martinez at number 2, and Ortiz at number 5, and Alvarez in the top 10 at all.

Didn't even notice Ortiz at 5. What's going on there? Where is Hopkins?

Having Canelo in there is absurd and Ortiz clearly isn't top 10 either. Wlad at number 3? Horrible list.

I don't understand why assholes constantly bring up MMA as some kind of competitor to boxing, as if it's a WWF vs WCW affair. Boxing is a sport, a legendary sport. MMA is WWE taken seriously and the fans watching are mentally disturbed homosexuals.

Mexican cats list, and the bias is so transparent, would be nice to see an objective list without partisan nutthugging.

Alavarez has done absolutely nothing to be in the top 10 P4P.

Having Alvarez, Ortiz, and Kahn on any P4P list is highly premature...
