Really insightful interview. Really helped me get an understanding of DeGale's mindset before the fight and to his training camp...

Man theres a whole series of these jane couch "interviews" on ifilm lahndahn's jewtube channel. basically they all follow a formula of jane, half cut most of the time trying to flirt with assorted boxing guys.

To Eddie Hearn - "oooh eddie luv, you won a boxrec foroom pole for tha most outrageously attractive man in boxing, oooh luv!"
To Tommy Gilmour - "oooh tommy luv, fancy tekking us for a drink afterwards eh? eh?"
Tommy replies - "eh no,...i've got to stay classy, I've got standards to keep now I have an MBE"
To Johnny Nelson - "im wiv tha legendary johnny nelson, oooh johnny luv"
Johnny replies - "you're gonna make me go red, whats this legendary..?"
Jane - "oooh la johnny, you cant tell if you go red" - no, she really said that
luckily he has a sense of humour :"i go purple thats it" - (i know she aint racist)

 

He also said it wouldn't go past 4 rounds. Well, Degale didn't land a punch through 4 so I guess there was a bit of a miscommunication.

omg McDonnell is such a ****ing dimwit, and as for Degale he could have done is rep a bit of help by going over to Groves like a man and congratulating him for the win. He should have held his hand up and given him the belt. ****ing moron has no class and will get no where with that attitude. When Benn got taken apart by Eubank he went over to him afterwards and embraced the man, he also gave Eubank 100% credit in the interview afterwards. These guys hated each other but they showed they are true men, true warriors by their behavior afterwards. As for Degale he can never lace the boots of warriors like those. No **** off and dive in a pit somewhere u c**t.

 

Yeah that interview he gave afterward always sticks with me, Benn showed real class after Eubank beat him.

 

The way people are acting, are as if George Groves has totally beat down James Degale. He ran for 12 rounds straight, and never once hurt James Degale. George Groves was visibly hurt by James Degale in the fight, and he was the only fighter that was hurt that night.

George Groves cannot fight that fight twice, and be successful, and he won't be successful.

James Degale is still the better fighter, and bigger personality. There will be a immediate rematch, but i think over the duration of their careers, they will have another fight aswell.

 

skip to 3.23 of the groves presser check Adam Booth, looks like something out of a horror film. Really creepy.

 

I get your point but if boxing was only about hurting people they wouldnt wear gloves. Groves and Booth chose to fight that way because it took DeGale out of his comfort zone, and he wasnt prepared for that.

 

Who gives a **** if he boxed on the back foot, whether or not the fight was close or not they way people were going on was as if Groves was a CAN. Degale totally underestimated Groves and after all his bull**** and pre-fight predictions he was made to look like a complete mug. He couldnt even put Groves on the deck after catching him flush, so all this BS talk about round 4 KO, what happened?? He didn't even have plan B, infact someone should teach him how to cut off the ring without following his opponent around.

 

****ing hell, both of them looked messed right up.

 

I was laughing when DeGale said "He barely landed a shot on me" as he sits there with cuts, bumps and bruises all over his face.

 

Khan couldnt make excuses he got levelled!
