Getting Zakman, Metalmother and Joe in the same thread is epic comedy. On their own they can be sensible but put them together and they make a Canadian hockey crowd look smart.
Wow, I haven't checked this thread for some time, but now it really has taken off. GSP's chin is probably suspect too, and it might get exposed again if he gets hit by Anderson Silva.
You aren't schooling ****, you're living in your one moment of glory by making one right pick. If anyone should be gloating it should be the dude I bet with, not you ****boy. But yes, Ronnie, I agree that GSP is probably packing some glass in that Mandible given his safety-first gameplans but we really need to see him KOed again before we can make that assessment. And a KO from Silva wouldn't exactly prove it because he vaporizes MWs and LHWs, so KOing GSP will be academic if he lands.
You're wrong and you were proven so in those posts. Those with no Chin, regardless of whether they're grapplers or not, are not successful in fighting. Guys with average or slightly below average punch resistance can manage to be moderately successful if they exclusively grapple but there are plenty of guys who had all of the tools, EXCEPT for a Chin, and they couldn't make the grade at the highest level. Proper punch resistance matters in all sports involving punching.atsch
You've done nothing to prove me wrong. I have laid out the reasons why a good chin is more important in boxing. You've done nothing to disprove that. Instead, when you realize you can't argue with that, you try to argue against something I never said. Arlovski has never had a good chin, but he became a champion. Frank Mir has never had a good chin, but he became a champion. Forrest Griffin never had a good chin, but he became a champion. No boxer could make it out of the club circuit with chins like those. Now are there any all time greats without good beards? I don't know of any off the top of my head. If your feeling about GSP is correct, and he has a glass jaw, then there would be you atg example. You do recall suggesting that GSP's jaw may be a little glassy recently? How does a guy with a porcelain chin rule like almost no other? I just keep kicking your ass, and no amount of smilies can make your deflective posts any stronger.
Can't argue with that. Glass jaws are one of the things that makes both sports worth watching. There's NOTHING like seeing some shards flying all around a ring - or an octagon! - as that mandible shatters. NOTHING!!!
