Penalosa was always a capable and enjoyable fighter to watch technically, just didn't seem able to step the energy level up a few notches when he needed to, ending up on the wrong end of some very close fights. this fight kind of sums him up for me.nice moves, winning easily, but Lee is woeful and offering nothing, and Penalosa is content to just coast along at his own pace.
I always liked Gerry..he was a bit frustrating to watch at times because he had all the tools but I think he tended to coast a bit and let fights closer than they should of. Addie do you have the Tokuyama fights...I havent seen one of them and I really can hardly remember the one I did see.
penalosa is a master technician in the ring, but doesn't have the intensity to have the judges' nod. no wonder most of his losses were close fights..
