yea and since Lampley is the blow-by-blow guy he really has a big influence on the spectators. When he says "Marquez lands a big right hand and Pacquiao misses with a left!" the action happens so fast that people will expect that that's what really happened even if it isn't. I also hadn't noticed before that Marquez lands ALOT of punches that are low in certain cases and very borderline in others.
I scored it for Marquez last time I watched it...and that was the Sky Sports broadcast. I don't think a draw was a bad decision at all...
The fact that the outcome was the result of an admitted scoring error means that its a bad decision. Anyways in the end Pac got the W in the rematch to close that book in my eyes but there is no doubt that JMM's style poses serious problems for Pacquiao to overcome. the rematch was also a better fight. IMO in the 2nd fight both JMM and Pacquiao put forth better performances. JMM didn't need to take so long to adjust and Pacquiao mixed it up alot more.
The scoring error means nothing to me...I scored it for Marquez even after making the first round a 10/6. It's subjective. I think the second fight was awesome...one of the best fights I've personally seen on Television live.
Don't know how Marquez can ***** and whine so much about the decision in this fight. It was close as and I had Pac winning by a couple points, as did a lot of people. His fans are in love with the idea JMM came back from the 3 knockdowns to school Pac for the next 11 rounds, but that's far from what actually happened.
Where im from, if you do the chicken dance you almost got your ass kicked. It gets to the point where a certain somebody wont want to fight you again. Whoever gets kd 4 times in 2 fights and finishes on his feet both times, well lets just say his NUTS hang low
That's right. But that round did happen, and it cost Marquez the fight. You don't get extra points for coming back from 3 knockdowns. Nor do you lose any if the opponent comes back into the fight. Scoring the fight round by round Pac won it in many peoples eyes.
When marquez ends up on the canvas like hatton, then ill be glad to say "he got his ass kicked". Manny couldve put an end to this but in his words: "theres bigger fish to fry" yea i bet there is manny.
