The thing that always impressed me the most about Leonard was the accuracy of his punches. Every punch he hit Green with seems to be right on the mark, especially the final crushing hook. An early example of his accuracy was against Daniel Gonzalez. Granted, Gonzalez was no world beater but the right hand Leonard nailed him with was a beauty. Leonard caught him coming in and popped him with a cross right on the button. Gonzalez collapsed in a heap, finally beat the count, then basically quit in the ring, refusing to fight anymore.

I don't know very many that would agree with this position. Leonard was certainly more than adequate in the power department.

I think Green, Hearns, Kalule and LaLonde, among others, would beg to differ.

Hearns and Duran were Ray's best wins because of caliber of fighter. But Davey Boy Green proved how devastating he could be and how he had underrated power.

How could a fighter of Leonards calibre, have his greatrst performance against a hopelessly outclassed opponent such as Green? Like saying Hearns' best performance was against Pablo Baez.
