Upon Examination, Antonio Margarito is an ATG

    Even sparring partners would say he had to have something on his gloves and he messed up some up and coming boxers eye real bad he can even box.....he's not a good dude.....then why Mosley knocked him out?

    It's impossible to not respect Margarito.

    First, he was falsely accused and only proof is the word of a habitual cheat.

    Second, his rise was long, tough and slow. Coming from the rough city of Tijuana. Margarito came up the hard way. Beginning his career at only 15 years old he took on challenges with much older, tougher and more experienced fighters. Taking losses along the way.

    He easily disposed of a young prospect named Sergio Martinez. Only to get little respect for it. Won a title in 2002 I believe, continued to toil in relative obscurity. Fought a close, honest fight with Paul Williams. Didn't get the decision.

    Then savagely destroys undeated 27 year old Miguel Cotto. In one of the greatest displays of pressure fighting in boxing history.

    This is a guy who trained and gave it everything he had. That type of conditioning he had is only possible with hard and persistent work. And the will he showed in the ring is some of the most spectacular heart ever witnessed.

    If that isn't an ATG I don't know what is.

    well, hard persintent work and... plaster.

    Margayeso is not atg, he's not even close to atg. Just deal with it.

    The only reason margayeso won to cotto was the fkng plaster, the very moment he stopped using plaster he lost not only to cotto but to everyone else.

    Btw, his license was retired!!!! RETIRED!! professional boxers dont get their licenses retired because of rumors and because of what people say in the forums. They forbid margayeso to fight after all the plaster stuff.

    Single victories over Cotto (who fought a stupid fight) and Martinez (who was green and not fighting at his best weight) don't make an ATG. Neither do two victories over Kermit Cintron. Even if you think he played it straight, that's not enough to get him ATG status.

    Ive known Tony Margarito since 1999 when he came to Ft Worth Tx & Ko'd Buck Smith. Ive followed his career ever since. Many of his fights Ive seen from ringside too. Tony is a FIGHTER!! fears no one. Oscar ducked him. He made Mayweather literally chit his pants just by talking to him. You can see this on U Tube its hilarious
    Don't you think it was strange that Tony's wraps were still soft TWO MONTHS AFTER the fight, huh when the trace elements of calcium & sulphur , caused by Margarito's SWEAT!!! were discovered???

    You're very lucky to have witnessed the career of Margarito as it happened live.

    He's a legend of this sport. And one of the bravest fighters to ever lace them up.

    He's a great guy a real FIGHTER!! had to fight for everything he got. The way they railroaded an innocent guy was diabolical
    Im afraid they do same thing to Golovkin because he's in same position No one wants to fight him

    Will never forget the day Tony Margs made Cotto take that knee and submit. Cotto was taken to the hospital after that Tony Margs beatdown. Probably a top 5 win since 2000.
