Although Manny is not the fighter he once was, he is still a force in the 147 pound division. Ring magazine still ranks him #4 in the division, ahead of Bradley, Khan, Garcia and Spence.
He just handled a young lion, Jessie Vargas and everyone still wants to fight him.
    Respect your elders!

Often, ducking is a two edged blade.
Golovkin has missed the opportunity to face too many career defining opponents for it to be coincidence.

I'd make some room on that list for GGG though I wouldn't use presumptive and somewhat pretentious content like "fighters are ducking him" as material.

This is my current fighter P4P list, not to be confused with my ATG list where most there are no longer active.
Luck has zip to do with it.
Pac is still facing top level opponents and still deserves to be listed in the CURRENT P4P top 10.
Over the last couple years he's gone from the top 3 to my number 10. What's wrong with that?

Yeah well that makes sense as Bob Arum with Manny and Lomo is to vested in making fights from his own stable?

Your P4P list includes inactive fighters?

How come Naygoe Inoue is so high and Kovalev so low?

You have Danny Garcia above Gonzalez? That invalidates your list. Charlo has done enough but GGG hasn't? Ok then.

I'm impressed with Roman Gonzalez, but I'm more impressed with Garcia's skills and who he's fought and won.
Charlos recent win against Williams alone, elevates him above Golovkin.
Golovkin needs to get busy. If he is going to keep fighting the level of fighters he's fought, then he needs to fight more of them per year and make up the lack of quality with quantity. Like Vlad Klitscho.

Nice reply but I couldn't disagree more. Gonzalez has beaten far better fighters than Garcia far more impressively. Charlo has not done more than GGG. Not yet anyway. My main issue though is Gonzalez behind Garcia. Garcia hasn't done squat for a long time. Hoping Thurman gets rid of him. Can't understand how any knowledgeable boxing fan can have him over Gonzalez. Makes no sense and makes it hard to take your list seriously. IMO Chocolatito is number 1 easy.

When Garcia beats Thurman, how will that change your opinion of Garcia or will you wait for Garcia-Spence?

'If' Garcia beats Thurman then that victory plus what he did a couple of years ago will go a long way to getting him back in the top 10. He then needs to fight live bodies more often. Right now, no way does he deserved to be ranked that high. Your list is way off.

Not simply quality, but consistency, endurance, skills (offence, defence movement, ring generalship), quality of opposition, win ratio, etc.
Based on just opposition, Pac, Cotto, JMM, Ward, BHOP, Bradley, Bika would lead the pack and most of these youngsters wouldn't even be in the top 10.
