Uppercuts...the most lethal punch?

    It is easy when working with focus mitts to include uppercuts in the drills and these days most good gyms have horizontal bags to practice uppercuts on.

    Hopkins steps to left than throws a hook followed an uppercut. Seems to be one of the better combos for setting up the uppercut.

    Throwing uppercuts can leave you pretty vulnerable. It helps to hide to the side of your opponent's guard or mix it in a combo. On the other hand, they are often very unexpected and split the guard.
