Hopkins/Pavlik? Cotto/Margarito? If Pacquiao were to beat DLH? I know its been discussed before but I just want to know where Hopkins over Pavlik ranks and where Pacquiao over DLH would rank. Opinions...

To me it was not Hopkins vs. Pavlik at all, as I had picked Hopkins to win. However, to the general public it was scene as a complete mismatch, knockout-waiting-to-happen with Hopkins getting retired. So, given the four-to-one odds, that has to rank highly.

Pacquaio over De La Hoya would definitely rank highly.

Khan vs. Prescott has to figure into the discussion, as antcull pointed out.

Edit: Margarito over Cotto was an upset, but not on the scale of "of the Year".

It doesn't matter that u had hopkins to win. He was a 4-1 underdog in a big ppv fight. That's a massive upset that rarely happens in boxing. Easily upset of year IMO.

Personally i thought Hopkins would beat Pavlik, but i did not expect Cotto to be beat by Margarito so that makes it upset of the year for me.

    Campbell-Diaz BY FAR!

Both Hopkins and Margarito were live underdogs, one third picked them to win, too many for an upset. Amir Khan vs. Breidis Prescott in an upset, but we all know Amir had chin problems and was put in a ring vs. a huge puncher. Vera-Duddy was a shock upset... But the Campbell victory came as the real shocker... especially the way Nate fought, a perfect fight...

Same here Juan was expected to win that, he simply steamrolled thru some of the elite beltholders in that division, unfortunately Nate got the better of him.
