Gerald Hayes spent his career as a journeyman yet he upset the Juan Laporte, the reigning feather champ, in a non-title bout. A similar case was Tom the bomb Bethea stopping Nino Benvenuti, which led to them being rematched for the title, Nino that time getting his revenge.
Darryl Pickney starching a Junior Jones that would go one to defeat Barerra twice. Rolondo Pasqua over Humberto Gonzalez Jerry Pahayay over Ponsaklek Wongjongkam on two sperate occasions.
I think Rossman would do well if he were around today. he would have beat the **** out of the current incarnations of Joe calzaghe and Bernard Hopkins
I was never impressed with Rossman much. Slow and, though technically a good fighter, he was pretty basic, nothing really stand out. The fact that Galindez had such troubles with him should've been a good enough indicator that he was on his way out, though for whatever reason I thought he looked a fair deal better against Marvin Johnson the following year, just before retirement.
Probably Ted Sanders stopping Alex Ramos in mid 1982, Kevin Howard beating Bobby Joe Young in early 1982, Claude Noel beating Gato Gonzalez in 1981, and Trevor Berbick beating Greg Page in mid-1982.
hiroki Ioka vs Myung Woo Yuh Amado Ursua vs Hilario zapata Manny Pacquiao vs Chatchai Sasakul Pedro Flores vs Yoko Gushiken Carlos Chavez vs Manuel Ortiz
Willy Salazar stopping Danny Romero. Steve Littles beating Michael Nunn. Bos Murphy outpointing Vic Patrick.
Maybe Carlos Teo Cruz wasn't exactly a mediocre fighter, but he sure got lucky back in 1968 when he decked Carlos Ortiz in the 1st round and went on to taking the lightweight title by a decision.
