    So Billy

Is it nowhere near on ? Has there actually been any concrete talks ?

Would Ricky fight at Upton Park ?
Would Ricky fight on an undercard ?

Do you personally think the fight will happen at any point this year ?

I personally prefer a Scot Vs England Bill on a seperate night

    Ricky Burns V Kevin Mitchell
    Kenny Anderson v George Groves

Sign the contract Ricky. Be great publicity beating Mitchell at Upton Park. Would be a big domestic tear up for the world title.

Kevin wants it, Ricky wants it. Whats the problem. Sign the contract big boy

I told you all that Burns is fighting Sharif Bogere not MITCHELL, regardless of what Mitchell tells Ben Doughty.

And the daily mail. And Twitter.

I've always maintained that the card makes little sense being at Upton Park without Mitchell on it.

I believed it as well mate. When one of the fighters involves goes to press saying Te contract will be signed and sealed in 2 days, everything looks good.

We have heard nothing from Burns, but maybe Mitchell was a little hasty.

It's a double edged sword. Maybe Mitchell thought it was a done deal so announced it, or maybe everything really was agreed, and Burns backed out of it at the 11th hour. It's still up in the air, but I suspect it was to do with the Board threatening license withdrawals

he can feature on it vano ... but him and burns to me is a more worthwhile than the freakshow chisora /haye and deserves to be the main event ,not tucked away on a undercard on a freak show

    surely you agree ?

and yes it was on Daily Mail and twitter, but that heardly means its cast iron is it ?were is the qoutes from ****** , or his spokesman ? Or burns

billy has always stated since the chisora/haye was announced this wasent happening ,so i dont know why people are suprised ,it takes two tango:good

Mitchell - Burns is a better fight than Chisora - Haye in a boxing sense. But at Upton Park it would have been massive.

Regarding Billy Nelson, he was stone wall early in the thread, saying it wasn't happening full stop. But then he became very open, suggesting he was willing to participate on the card and lose his licence, and saying something like 'nothing had been agreed yet'. This strongly indicates the fight was talked about at great length, but for whatever reason it has fallen through, seemingly at the final hurdle.
