Carl was smart (unlike fight one) and sneaked closed rounds. But kudos to Groves, The Cobra had to be at the top of his game to gain the win.

Blimey, ringside I gave Froch 2 rounds tops but I will have to watch again and see what I think. Thought there was one clear round for Froch and then maybe one other round he nicked.

When I went to Benn/EubankII I had it 10/2 to Benn. Watching it on TV a few days later, a draw did seem reasonable as I had it 7/5 to the Dark Destroyer.

 

Agreed. I go to quite a lot of fights so am keenly aware of the difference that even the side of the ring you sit on can make.

I'll watch it back. I was trying to score it freely though and didn't feel I was getting emotionally swayed.

Groves 5 - 2 Froch. Rounds were hard to score, though.

 

Groves 4 Froch 3.. And Groves was beginning to pull away and looking good.

 

I think the reason he didn't land his right hand like in the first fight was because Froch was using his jab better in this fight.
