After the second KD Urango looked fine to me. His legs looked steady, his eyes seemed focused. He looked ready to go. Agree or no?

    agreed

the Bailey knockdown would be a more reasonable stoppage than the Alexander one, but im not going to complain there was no way Urango would win that fight

This. Lets think about Urango's safety here. He had no chance, even with his power, which was already faded at that point in the fight. And also the punch that knocked him down swiftly the second time was nothing compared to the first that knocked the hell out of him.

He looked fine, the fight shouldn't have been stopped.

I agree. In the Bailey fight nobody would say Urango could have recovered from that brutal KD had the fight been stopped after that
Urango was far behind against Alexander, but I thought Urango was getting better as the fight was going on and maybe he could have stopped Alexander in the latter rounds with bodyshots.
I'm sick of those BS stoppages.

He looked fine at that time, the fight shouldn't have been stopped then. If he was going to get hurt more later on, stop it then. You're not supposed to stop a fight because a fighter may be too hurt to continue in the future, only when they actually are too hurt to continue, or can't make the count. That's how it works. Urgano looked good to go after he got up, the fight shouldn't have been stopped then.

man i sure as hell wouldnt want you as a ref, if a fighter has to be walking like a drunk with gruseome cuts/injuries or out cold. the fact that he APPEARED fine is irrelevant, he was brutally knocked down with a vicious uppercut and almost IMMEDIATELY knocked down afterwards! what more proof do you need he wouldve got destroyed? so your basically saying in order for the fight to be stopped urango had to be completely out of it or unconcious on his feet??

When did I say this? So you're saying anytime anyone is knocked down more than once in row a fight should be stopped? It's really quite simple, if a fighter seems too hurt to continue the fight should be stopped. Urango did not look too hurt to continue.

I'm going to side with the ref on this one. He was right there looking into Juan's eyes. He had the best vantage point to make the call and I don't remember Urango or his corner protesting the stoppage.

Should have brought this ref out of retirement for the bout.
