Wasn't a bad stoppage at all.

well your making it sound as if urango couldve won, when even stevie wonder in a pitch black cave could see urango was getting dominated from the get go and the knockdowns pretty much put the icing on the cake. he couldve continued, and then wouldve continued to get his ass kicked. you may not've said it directly, but you definitely implied it.

he could've made it off of the knockdown but he still would've got knocked either way

If the ref dont stop that fight than he probably ends up knocked out cold...his power was gone cuz he was so damn tired...

lol it was ment to be a question. i would have like for urango to have one more go at but the ref felt like he couldn't continue and had a better view than me but i dont agree

The referee might have seen that his eyes are betraying his action (lifting his hand to prove that he is ok). I'm definitely sure that the 3rd kd is coming in a few seconds and this time Urango will not beat the 10 count anymore.

The stoppage looks premature from our point of view but the referee might have seen otherwise. I'm ok with the stoppage.

If you want to assume that the ref saw something we didn't that's fine. My point is that to me he looked OK to continue fighting, and if a fighter looks OK to continue at the time that the choice needs to be made to stop a fight or not, he should be allowed to continue regardless of what anyone believes will happen as the fight continues. I honestly don't even understand how anyone could argue against that statement. That's just how it works, the fighter fights until he physically can't or the ref or doctor believes he shouldn't. A fight shouldn't be stopped just because one guy is losing and probably will continue to lose, unless he is actually taking too much damage, but two KD's alone do not warrant a stoppage when a fighter looks steady and clear-headed.

yeah, it was a little premature.. But it was early in the round anyway, and seemed like it was bound to happen at that point. I wasn't upset with it

he looked hurt but i agree it was premature. he looked just as hurt in the Bailey fight and was able to overcome the adversity of that fight and eventually knock out Bailey. Steve Smoger would have let the fight conitnue.

My knee-jerk reaction was the same, Max. But after I watched the last round again and thought about it a minute, I don't think the ref was out of line. Yeah, he seemed to be able to continue, but here we've got a guy that was viciously knocked down, then put down very easily by not that impressive looking a shot or two and in hindsight, I can't argue the call. He could've let it continue, but I don't think the stoppage was really bad. I think no matter what Urango looked like, he was probably just wearing a very good poker face. A guy like Urango doesn't taste the canvas after the punches he took in the second knockdown unless he's just not there.

I had it 3-2 going into the 6th Alexander took 1 and 2 Urango 3 and 4 but Alexander figured out Urango won 5 and was winning 6 big with 2 KDs. Alexander starts good Urango wins next two. As he opned up Alexander got him. 1st KD i thought was due to urango leaping and getting hit in mid air while punching. The 2nd one proved he was actually buzzed and hurt. He got up as an Urango fan I was mad but I came to live with it. Alexander had his number had him figured out and was gonna win. Alexander kept getting his head down and wood land that right uppercut only a matter a time.

I'm a bit on the fence about the issue, but just out of curiosity, how many minutes were left in that round?
