The Paulie/ Urango ride WAS fun while it lasted though!!

 

Paulie's speed and elusiveness against Khans speed + power should make for a interesting fight. :think

I think it will be decent, I can see the build up hotting things up quite nicely. Malignaggi has a lot to say for himself, likewise Roach.

I think Khan will and should win comfortably though...UD12. I think he's going to be too long and too quick even for Paulie.

 

Malignaggi's elusiveness?

Doesn't he answer his phone or reply to e mails, because you can't be talking about in the ring.

 

He has this reputation as a master boxer (and, to be fair, he does have fast hands) but his footwork is pretty average. Def. not elusive.

 

Khan will see little to no threat to his chin from Paulie and has the advanatges in hand/foot speed and power.

Good stylistic match-up for Khan. paulie is decent but what game plan can he implement?!? A 'name' for Khan rather than a genuine challenge IMO, Paulie is good but doesn't pose any stylistic threat to Khan as far as I can see.

 

Urango made Ricky look like Willie Pep. lol very good win for a fighter of Hattons style.

There are some fights that Hatton doesn't get the credit for, like the castillo fight, okay JLC was passed it, but it is way too easy to look back through the archived tapes and dissect the shortcomings of Castillo before he sounded the first bell v. Ricky. None of the serious money foresaw what Ricky was going to do to him, basically making JL look like a 30:1 underdog, bum, ham-n-eggs, tomato can, "opponent" etc. Even in those previous wars, the inside money had Castillo in an upset and Ricky has to be given credit for that present point in time.

 

Paulie is elusive for about 2 rounds. Ngoudjo, Hatton, Cotto, N'dou in the rematch all put a lot of leather on him.

Hopefully Khan does more than throw jabs and right hands because Malignaggi is a pretty clever guy, its not hard to adjust to only straight punches. He needs to go the body, throw a hook. This is his chance to show some variation, show his complete skillset. Paulie shouldn't be worrying him.

 

Hattons power was way overrated. He was overrated imo.

Oh and before everyone jumps on me, yes Castillo was washed up. But i simply couldn't let the span of time dictate a "hindsight" vision on Hatton v. Castillo. I made £1400 on that fight as bodog had the line all the way down to Ricky -220, basically only 2:1 odds which it was actually at 4:1 earlier in the week. The matchmakers and Vegas thought JL Castillo's experience v. Money May, Casa and Corrales had him winning the fight on points. Ricky smothered him and dropped a perfect rib shot...hindsight being 20/20, JL was shot but Ricky fast tracked that fate!

 

Castillo is still competing now. Can see him being a Saul Alvarez victim sometime this year.

 

This fight has no impact on Ricky Hatton whatsoever. Hatton beat Urango.
