complete dominance by Valero, there is no question who would win if these two got in a real match with another. I dont get Valero he boxes very nicely in sparring but looks like a total crude fighter in official bouts, its as if he panics on the spotlight.
yeah, I noticed that too! When Valero sparred with the Santa Cruz brothers he was on his toes counter punching and very elusive with great footwork.
Also with Morales when he was training for the 1st Pacquiao match, I thought Valero had the best of it in that sparring session. Do you know if the MAB sparring session was recorded as well, would like to see that one too.
I agree! I saw him having success in the Morales sparring. He also sparred with Barrera. But he's different in the fights. Pretty much like Gamboa. Maybe they have the same mindset: as soon as they enter the arena, it's all about entertainment and going for the early knockout.
Pitalua recently defeated Santa Cruz by KO for a WBC eliminator. Valero recieved a high ranking at LW. Hopefully the two camps seal this up soon.
I've said that from day one....Valero has very good skill....it's just come fight night he drops everyting to showcase his power and that has severed him well up till his fight with Mosquera....when Valero got dropped after a wild 1st round he showed that skill that hasn't been shown outside the boxing gym. If he can utilize the skills he definitley has consistantly we'll see a complete fighter...not one that everyone is saying is just HYPE due to his concussive power.
Valero has good skills but when he gets in the ring he likes to slug it out cause his power is real good. Thing is alot of fighters think they have to impress the crowd by going balls out. Anyways i thought Morales handled Valero in that sparring session. he kept crouching down and then firing off that overhand right and hitting Valero straight down the pipe. and anyways you cant say from that sparring sessions that Valero would beat Antillon. Its just sparring. We don't know if they're practicing anything specific or if both fighters are in their top conditions
