US fight fans...who do you respect most - froch or calzaghe

    This isn't a question of who is the better fighter, but who has earnt the most respect stateside....froch or calzaghe?

    He looks like an amateur for 8 rounds and then (luckily for him) manages to knock out Taylor, who's stamina issues are well documented, and you think people are going to give him tons of respect???

    Calzaghe has more respect with me but Froch made a fan out of me with his win over Taylor saturday night.

    The fact that he chose to travel across the atlantic and fight JT in his own backyard for his first defence certainly deserves some respect. It took JC 11 years as champion to fight in the US.

    I like both...but Froch's "Hey Joe fight me Joe hey Joe ya remember me Joe Joe Joe? Joe? Joe call me Joe I miss ya baby" act is pretty tiresome.

    Froch, he put his balls and career on the line making his 1st defense over here against Taylor, he was also the underdog and walked away with his belt and a KO victory, you gotta respec that ****, mans got heart

    anyone who knows boxing knows how much more calzaghe's accomplished than froch. by that fact alone you have to say calzaghe regardless of where you're from. to me, froch has taken on one worthy opponent and would have lost if it wasn't for stamina issues/his tendency to start slow and finish strong. the two don't even compare.

    i agree. doesn't mean he deserves more respect than joe, though, imo.

    I don't understand why anyone would vote for Joe. Froch won a world title and immediately headed for the States to fight a big name, very skilled and dangerous opponent and put it all on the line, he had the balls to go for glory. Joe won a world title and arranged turkeyshoots at the Cardiff Ice Rink for 9 years, lining his pockets, protecting his zero, and fooling his fans. Of course Calzaghe is the greater boxer, but he in no way deserves the same respect as Froch does. One is a calculating career strategist and liar, the other is a real boxer and a real man.

    Calzaghe by 10 miles and the only reason Froch came here early is because he knew Joe didnt and is trying to use that as leverage to get him to fight him for a huge payday and a loss because come on be honest Calzaghe will spank Froch quite easily.
