"The U.S. men's boxing team is headed home from an Olympics empty-handed for the first time. The rest of the world caught and passed the once-dominant American team long before welterweight Errol Spence's uninspiring final effort. And now the world's best amateur fighters are down to the final days of their quests for all those medals the U.S. won't be winning." Why would the amateur boxers of the country which is the Mecca of Boxing and has cities like Las Vegas, Nevada "where legends are made" come back empty handed? Is this not a sign that since the borders were opened to Eastern Europeans and Cubans and Mexicans, the own Americans commited a sweet science management suicide?
i was disappointed but there was plenty of talent just no results one pit fall was youth and experience most Americans were younger than the guy they fought it seemed and were dwarfed in experience outside ****** Ramirez fought with guts twice came on late in his loss and gave an honest effort no shame, had a good pro style and i think should go pro Diaz BEAT Alvarez the WORLD CHAMP and got dicked, they overturned Spences fight but i thought this one was more blatant....any way guy should go pro he has the right style and will be hungry Breazile (Spelling?) got crushed but he was green no shame probably should focus more get some more experience then we can see Hunter showed great skills just couldnt finish, i liked what i saw probably can turn pro he has the goods but needs work Spence showed some good and bad what it came down to a lot was round 1 the American fell behind in a crappy flawed point system fought 2 and 3 good and lost in pro boxing winning 2 of 3 rounds probably meant you won i like what i saw just nothing to show for,,,maybe im being to kind but there were some good young fighters who can make noise as pros
