TommyV,with all due respect,no Henry Armstrong? And Willie Pep was beaten what,3 of 4 by Sandy Saddler, including 2 ko victories, whereas Willie could manage only 1 decision win against the man who ko'd him twice.Just a coupla thoughts.

TommyV,good choices throughout, though. The Mighty Atom lost maybe 2 or 3 times in over 100 bouts. That's insane.

    I knew I forgot somebody.

Of course Armstrong, he makes my top 4 of all-time comfortably. He slots in at 3, and pushes out Leonard.

Pep lost to Saddler after his aeroplane crash, i.e. past his prime and not in the same shape. And Saddler is a top 25 ATG in his own right, he was freakishly tall and powerful for the weight.

Thank **** that people are putting Freddie Welsh and Jimmy Wilde above Calzaghe in any UK/Wales poll. Really nice to see that !

Yeah he was a very good fighter indeed, but his opposition at times was very poor and his recorded padded. Fitzsimmons deserves to be #1 though without a shadow of a doubt. Champion from MW to HW, remember at a time when there was only 1 belt aswell. And beat guys like James Corbett, Tom Sharkey, The Non-Pareill Jack Dempsey, Peter Maher, Gus Ruhlin, George Gardner etc.
