update, Joseph Diaz Jr. is the main sparring partner for Mikey Garcia in preparation for Juan Manuel Lopez. Also Errol Spence just came from Mayweather's training camp and was his sparring partner for Guerrero https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oW85edoRS60 [yt]oW85edoRS60[/yt]
yeah Spence looks to have the most potential. Jose Ramirez looks like he has a good future too, just needs some polishing
From Errol Spence's facebook fighting This Saturday in Florida should be on fox sports tune in if you can check your TV guide for time..SN: I dislike BS people
I always thought the U.S. fighter at 201, Michael Hunter was going to be a decent pro. He has been in some camps with the klitschko's and was doing well against Beterbiev early in their fight but did fade late. I know, fading in an amateur fight does not bode well for the professional distances. Regardless, I guess he has not turned pro. Anyone have info on him? Thanks!
Too bad the Kazakh and Russian who tooled him in the amateurs did not get an opportunity to be professional stars.
He's still hasn't debutted. Here's a sparring video of him and Hasim Rahman Jr. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-M0HpOFCsE [yt]Y-M0HpOFCsE[/yt]
Spence with 5 fights in 7 months. Good he's staying active. I had forgotten that Herring was that old(27). He'll get moved up rather quickly me thinks. Probably a world title by the end of 2014. Breazele will probably never be anything, but he's already 27 too, although you can never know. Seth Mitchell is a fringe top 20 HW and he was just as inexperienced as Breazele was. One thing I am wondering is how well does Spence make 154 and what does he walk around at. I was hoping he could do something at 147, but he's already 23 and growing. Might be at 160 before he gets his first shot, ala Meldrick Taylor who started his career at 135(after winning Olympic Gold at 125 lbs)
Hunter made his pro debut in March. Haven't been able to find video of it though. He debuted at 212 lbs..Hmm. I knew he dropped down to 201, but I thought he'd try to stay there.
