Which country would win (I didn´t pick fighters like Ali, Louis, Greb and Robinson, etc... to make things very equal, with close matchups): 1-Prime Tyson vs Prime Lewis- HW 2-Emile Griffith vs Jackie Kid Berg -WW 3-Bobby Chacon vs Naseem Hamed - FW 4-Shane Mosley vs Ken Buchanan - LW 5-Mark Johnson vs Benny Lynch - FlyW ------ IMO would be 3-2 UK (Lewis, Buchanan and Lynch), the hardest one to me is Johnson vs Lynch, I would pick Lynch but not that confidently about it.....
At the tip top of the ATG lists, you could load this to make a blowout for the US. It evens up a ton if you drop just one level, and I think you did it well. This list you made? I'd make it 3-2 for the UK too. I think Lewis would take Tyson, but thats a close match that I could see going the other way easily. Pick 'em fight, I think Lewis was just a touch better and more versatile. Tyson faster and sharper, Lewis stronger and harder hitting. It's a great match. I agree that the best Griffith takes Berg. I have Chacon-Hamed tight. Chacon SHOULD win, as he was just a higher calibre fighter, but he was so prone, and Hamed hit SO hard. I'd pick Chacon, but I would not be shocked if Hamed just up and sparked him, one shot or combo, at any time in the fight. Buchanan takes Mosley, styles, that jab. Mosley eats straight lefts. I think Lynch beats Johnson, but I'm just like you, totally on the fence. I would not be shocked if this went 4-1 USA, even if I'd pick 3-2 for the UK. Griffith-Berg is the only one I see as reasonably clear.
I think the safest one is Buchanan over Mosley.....and I love Mosley, but like you said, styles ! If someone put a gun to my head I would pick Lewis over Tyson.....but I admit that I would be very afraid of that one, in my mind I can see Tyson winning this brutally.....
