Nice article. I don't think Hendo counts though.

    Agreed.
Dont think Henderson should count as he was first with the ufc then pride then ufc again then strikeforce and back to the ufc for the 3rd time

imo Hendo does count because not long ago Hendo was over the hill and not worth his asking price for contract renewal. since he's showed he apparently is.

:deal Dana obviously thought so hence why Hendo walked. Im sure Will Cockring will be in here though to remind us it was just Hendo's beef with Dana over his brand Clinch Gear.

The best are never all in one place but generally the UFC is the NFL of MMA. The majority of the best are there or eventually come over. What the UFC do is they test the best every time. They have a competative architecture where as SF, Dream etc don't.

Overeem won't ever get to fight Buentello for the title and as a top 5 fighter he won't get a chance to blitz a Todd Duffee.

There will always be a few top players outside of the UFC. In the same way there are players in the championship or division 1 who are premier league level but just aren't there yet.

The UFC acts as the place to be for fighters and once they get there they get tested in a way which establishes exactly where they should rank.

Machida would be 20-0 outside of the UFC but the competative architecture sees him pick up a few losses. Overeem would probably pick up another 5 or 6 victories but with a schedule that may include JDS, Carwin and Velasquez (win or lose) then that doesn't become as likely.

The best have never ALWAYS been in the UFC. Same **** happened when Pride was bought and Rua, Rampage and other top players came over.

  8. Anderson Silva would be 35-0 outside the UFC, oh wait scrap that.

JDS would be 15-0 outside the UFC, oh wait again, scrap that.

If you are all mma fans who really cares what org they are in or come from...blablabla. alot of you sound childish when you have your org vs org crap. some ufc fighters will beat SF fighters some Pride will beat ufc, some wec will ufc...and it's a continuous circle. It's not about the org it's about the fighters but some of you continue your childish crap of us against them...it's pathetic especially the die hard pride guys who still think the war is going on.

I heard stories of jap soldiers in the pacific islands years after the war still thought the war was on. AT least they didn't know ant better alot of you need to grow the **** up!
It's a sport about the fighters and who's best not about the org.

When they hit their peak they would put together an undefeated streak. No one would argue that when they lost, they were at their best.

Dana would have told coker to say this. This article is basically now bigging up a load of UFC fighters. Dana fed Brock to Overeem because he realises that Overeem is now his 'super hero looking' HW. He hated Tim Sylva for the sole reason that he looked like **** physically. He is obsessed with his HW champ being big and muscular. Reem has the looks Dana wants but is also a fighter so Brock was sacrificed and used to enhance reems record before he rode into the suset. Dana isn't stupid, he only slags fighters off when they are in another org' because he wants to belitlle them as they take heat away from the UFC. He knows there were good fighters in other org's but he feels he had to be aggressiv ein his critisism in order to shoot them down to keep as the premier organisation in MMA.

If the best have always been in the UFC, why are people coming over from Strikeforce and getting immediate title/contender fights?

Dana admitted "we have to lie to you guys sometimes". Its not a big deal.
