it's all about politics, power and money.Like "anti drugs" institutions, which are made to earn money, power and control the distribution of the drugs, not to prevent it.
USADA is 24/7/365 VADA testing is a contracted period of time. So there’s ways to circumvent VADA testing and most times it’s scheduled and the boxers are notified when the Doping Control Officer’s will pay them a visit. That’s the reason the UFC terminated their contract with USADA, because too many of their fighters were testing positive and it was causing bad publicity.
Basically! Lol! Whichever promoter has enough of THAT to put in an envelope will have the cleanest results. Uncle Eddie and that guy Haymon have plenty.
Complicated question because boxing isn't like other sports as there is no single unified governing body for the sport. USADA Testing for other sports is 24/7, 365 days a year but because of boxings fractured nature there is no single boxing authority with USADA to organise a proper testing system for boxing on a world wide scale. VADA was created by a bunch of doctors already involved in boxing. While in terms of testing in boxing in the US before VADA 's creation it is undoubtedly superior to what came before as testing wasn't even something that was consistently done with every fight due to testing coming under the remit of the local boxing commission where every commission had different rules on testing boxers, it's still woefully inadequate. VADA only has deals with the WBC and WBA to test their top ranked boxers, which means the vast majority of US based boxers who are not ranked in these sanctioning bodies rankings are not tested by VADA. Plus those few fighters that are tested are not randomly tested 24/7, 365 days a year like USADA. Suffice to say within boxing drug testing in the US is woefully inadequate whether it's USADA or VADA, neither really can compare to any other major sport.
A very interesting link that completely exposes USADA https://www.sbnation.com/longform/2015/9/9/9271811/can-boxing-trust-usada Manny refused the first contract for the Mayweather fight as it stated,if either was to fail a test for peds the testers would say it was under TUE ! Maywether was then caught using an illegal iv fir the fight which the USADA then covered it up by issuing a retroactive TUE 18 days after the fight ! USADA did not notify Mannys team or the NSAC until after the TUE had been granted !
Good to see one person pay attention to that, that was one of the road blocks for why the fight didn't get signed basically Floyd if caught cheating would be allowed to be granted a TUE for it & wouldn't have to notify Team Pacquiao about it ever happening hence he found out months later for him using an illegal IV triple the dose.
VADA. Guys actually have to skirt VADA, they avoid it, they limit it to as little testing as possible, they duck the testers (get 3 misses). USADA was wholly corrupt in boxing. VADA is legit albeit limited in power/money.
I think you may find it was the NSAC that issued the statement " Mr Mayweather has done nothing wrong so we will not be investigating this matter" Then They issued the retroactive Tue in an attempt to clear Floyd Who can you trust these days?
