well that might not be enough because despaigne the other Cuban at 69kg could get there ahead of him.

He could end up fighting in wsb soon Uzbekistan have a team in it next year and he could go into apb

ya I know Popov beat Eamer Coughlan in the world junior final in another 50-50 contest, they both look good

Just realized this thread is supposed to be about Shakur Stevenson. Why isn't Ruben Villa getting the hype? Villa has defeated Stevenson twice. Villa also beat Devin Haney, who is getting a ton of hype.

Where is the hype for Ruben Villa?

I think Iglesias looked pretty solid at these Championships, I don't see how he doesn't beat Despaigne.

That sounds good. I was hoping for the real pros though. He could potentially take over the Middleweight division post GGG. Maybe Melikuziev wants the double Gold? At some point I do want this guy to make the full transition to professional boxing.

Coughlan was a big kid for that weight division. I like how Popov dealt with him. At Junior level kids struggle with that type of style and Popov looked great.
I'm really high on that kid, I really do hope he develops properly.

Ireland's 60 kg guy at Junior World should have gotten the decision in the Final.

I think Ward's best option is to wait for LaCruz in a technical stand-off, try and feint him into mistakes. I too thought McComb edged Selimov but I'm Irish and probably biased.

You might be right. It's got to be a better strategy than chasing him around the ring and swiping at thin air that's for sure. Ward should maybe be the one who backs off and plays counter puncher. That said, La Cruz will probably refuse to come forward and the crowd will erupt into a chorus of boos after about 15 seconds.

I've seen both of them a few times Melikuziev because I go out of my way to follow EE's and O'Reilly because gramsey suggested him to me.

They both looked really impressive. Melikuziev looks very strong and powerful and O'Reilly looks strong and skillful himself.

La Cruz wins again. Good performance from him he was less negative in this one than he often is. He's a nightmare to fight he's got mongoose like reflexes and is so difficult to hit and very quick and sharp with his own shots.

Probably right about that he's a great talent and he's a 3 time world champion now.

SHW final now between Dychko and Tony Yoka. Can't believe Medzhidov didn't compete in these championships. He would've won them IMO. Had he he would be one to rival La Cruz for dominance in his weight class.
