Oh yes if Usyk's previous outings against his world class foes has taught us anything, it's how he will dispose of this "world champion" Glowacki who has only faced a brutish Huck and former champ Cunningham. ..
He's a very young 30, and if Wlad is still at it 20 years into his career, I'm sure Usyk can have a solid 10 years at or near the top since his style is defensively minded he'll most likely take limited punishment.
Huck had two close fights Ola Afolabi,a fight which could have gone either way with Tokarev, and very controversial victory over Lebedev. All in all Huck is a very decent and good fighter.I for one dont like his personality.I am certainly no fan of him but honour where honour is due: he has beaten quite a handful of good names in his career. I still think that he would stop Glowaki in a rematch. The Pole is tough, but no match for a fit version of Huck IMO. If Huck hadnt left his German promoter and his grumpy and authoritarin old German coach before his encounter with Glowaki over there in the states he would probably have scored another ko victory. His American coach was far too lenient with him.I guess Huck didnt take Glowaki that seriously before the fight. The Pole was an unheralded fighter, undefeated, but with no good name under his belt, predictable and a bit one-dimensional. Thats why I stick to my words: Huck had a day off that night. First fight in the states, first fight without his strict German coach, first fight with an American coach, too much freedom . Glowaki wont have that much luck with Usyk. The Ukranian cossack will stop the Pole on his native soil in front of his hometown fans:bbb
Ok we will chalk up his losses to Cunningham, Glowacki, Lebedev, Ola, Arslan, and Tokarev to having off nights. If not for that he would be undefeated.
Agree, Huck gets way too much flak on this site, sure he's had a lot of close fights, but he's also won a hell of a lot of matches against decent opponents. And its not like its easy to beat guys like Lebedev, Afolabi or even Arslan. And after all he did take Povetkin's 0 and in a lot braver fashion than Wladimir did, its unfortunate the judges didn't give him credit for it though.
I for my part had Povetkin ahead of points after 12 rounds of boxing,cst80.I thought that Povetkin landed the cleaner and more powerful shots throughout his encounter with Huck. However,I wouldnt argue the toss with someone who had Huck ahead on points.. And your are absolutely right in saying that Huck showed a far more courageous against Povetekin than Wlad did.
Usyk will be coming back from an injury and 9 months lay-off hopefully that won't affect him in this fight.
Good point, mate! I dont think that Glowaki will be able to beat Usyk, even a ring rusty version of Usyk after a 10 months lay off
Lebedev broke his ribs.Thats why he was injured and was on the bike for the last couple of rounds. As for the Tokarev fight I had it much closer but my memory is not that good anymore.I have to rewatch their encounter in order to be 100% positive, but as I said as far as I can remember Huck vs Tokarev was a pretty close fight.
