Usyk and Briedis would clean out almost every HW in pro boxing

    Here are the only active HWs I would back to beat them or at least give them a good fight:

    Joshua
    Tyson Fury (not active but coming back)
    Povetkin
    Parker
    Haye (fully fit Haye)
    Ortiz
    Hrgovic

    The likes of Joyce, Hughie Fury and Brezeale would probably go the distance due to style or durability but I'd expect them to be soundly beaten on points.

    Everyone else gets bodybagged.

    Isnt it normal for elite cruisers to be able to compete somewhat at heavy? Nothing out of the ordinary, imo.


    That being said, I dont really expect Usyk to have much of an actual legacy at heavyweight.

    Funny thing is, at the time of the "golden age" in the 60's and 70's both would have been viewed as relatively big heavyweights actually.
    Nowadays a lot of fans deem them "too small".

    A fit and motivated Perez is no joke. Depending on whether he has the desire to continue as a CW he'll probably prove that.

    There's no hype whatsoever with Briedis.

    Eh...

    Which all CW's in the last 10-15 years ever went on to beat one or two top 10 HW's?

    They are great looking CW's, leave it at that. I hope Usyk stays there and has a long reign as he has the platform here to be really special in the shallow history of the division.

    That's because there were 3 very strong champions at HW for most of that period and the last couple of years we haven't seen many cruisers step up at all. But still some favored a former CW to beat them (that didn't fly though). EA even put his mug on the European version their last FN game, which is even worse as their pay to win lootboxes in my opinion.

    The considered strong 90's and early 2000's saw former middleweights, super middleweights, light heavyweights and cruiserweights holding belts or even the actual championship. So it isn't that far fedged.
