Usyk and Carlos Takam have agreed to terms for a May 18 fight in Chicago streamed on DAZN. The undisputed cruiserweight champion is moving up to heavyweight. Fight is same day as Wilder-Breazeale. what will be the gap in PPV sales? Which fight will have the most quality and is the most interesting?

Takam did better v AJ than Breazale did.

Takam is a brave choice, seeing as AJ got a hard time against him.

No PPV so no impact on PPV sales. Both fights are interesting to me. The boxing will probably be of a higher quality in Chicago but I expect Usyk to comfortablly deal with Takam and Wilder Breazeale would be my choice as there's a chance of a proper dust up!

Hahahahahahahahaha. WTF is the point of that?!?!? Only a negligible number of US fans will be watching Usyk-Takam over the Showtime card. Why didn't they put this fight on in the UK so we could at least watch them both. If it had to go in the US, why not do it a week before or after?

Like him or not, Wilder is the biggest drawing HW in the US right now. Why put two unknowns up against him on a subscription service nobody has that just doubled in price?

What proof is there that Wilder is the biggest draw in the heavyweight division? What about AJ?

DAZN is PPV. It's now almost the same price as a UK PPV. Plus almost nobody has it currently. Their subs are through the floor.

If you won't pay for a real PPV on showtime, you ain't gonna be paying 20 to watch unknown Usyk fight a has-been/never-was on DAZN.

The gap in PPV sales will be whatever number of PPV sales Wilder vs Breazeale does, as Usyk vs Takam isn't PPV but subscription service.

Usyk vs Takam will have more viewers if that's what you mean.

AJ was too heavy v Takam, I feel Usyk will be a lot quicker than AJ was in that bout.

AJ had 16,000 people watch his last fight and his best viewership figure is a fraction of Wilder's. Don't be silly now.

DAZN has less than 100k subs. If everyone that possibly can watches this non event, they still need to double their subs to even have a chance. Add in the fact their price just doubled and what you said here looks pretty foolish IMO.

Wow, I didn`t know the figures were that low in America, I live in the UK and AJ is huge here, I feel Miller v AJ will do way better numbers though.

I'm sure it will, but it won't be huge as DAZN isn't popular at all yet. Their reach is pretty limited but they'll be going lots of people sub to see Canelo and then hang around for AJ a month later. We'll see.
