Usyk and Lomachenko are no different from Mayweather Jr.

There are different levels of greatness. Arturo Gatti is in the hall of fame, so I guess he's "great." So is Pipino Cuevas who was 35-15 and best known for getting splattered by Duran and Hearns.

Again, he's in the hall of fame so he must be GREAT. Sugar Ray Robinson was the best I ever saw, and Sugar Ray Leonard was the best of my lifetime. Can I compare Gatti or Cuevas to them?

If you tell me that Usyk and Gatti have had careers as impressive as those two, and may even end up being slighly MORE impressive, I'd say, "OK, I can see that." If you compare the Kiev boys to Leonard/Robinson; don't see it.

Again, that doesn't mean they can't fight. They are both amongst the top 10 in boxing today, but all time. Naaaah not even on that level. Not after 12 or 14 fights, and I would say, not ever.

 

He beat one of the best in the division, and a former world titlist for a belt and lost it in a title defense to the best fighter in the world. Then he just lost a close fight to the best prospect in the world in his hometown. I'd say that is good.

 

Leonard and Robinson would be outclassed today. In terms of participation boxing is truly global now, its not just yanks competing, back in the day they made up the overwhelming majority that participated in boxing.so I can’t see why it’s impossible for Usyk or Loma to become all time greats. But you are insecure and are driven by fear so you want Ukrainians to lose.

You have to give them until the end of the careers as they are both not finished yet. But at this point i totally agree with you.

That said they are both of to a pretty great start and naturally their fans will get excited about that.

They aren’t giving Usyk any chance to become an all time great, they aren’t even letting him finish his career before judging him. They want him to fail.

 

Honestly I want him to fight Bellow first get comfy at the weight. We know he’s gonna be Bellow. Then I would want to see him in with Takam or Chisora winner. It was a terrible comparison but I get what he was trying to say.

They are nothing like negative Floyd. They throw combinations, try to hurt their opponent. They don’t potshot and run, they are there to do damage. You’ve never boxed or known anything about boxing if you think they are similar in anyway. What Loma and Usyk do is ridiculously higher in degree of difficulty than what Floyd did, and far nicer to watch.

I see where your coming from but the difference especially between Loma and Flivd is Loma has an attacking defensive style and looks to engage and his defense is based on slick movement and angles where FlIVd was more just running away and holding something rarely done by Loma.
