Usyk at 254?!

    Wow! If true this could be a much quicker fight.

    Amir Khan recently visited Oleksandr Usyk in Dubai to watch the Ukrainian train ahead of his rematch with Anthony Joshua on August 20.

    Videos have recently surfaced, showing the unified world heavyweight champion looking the biggest he’s ever looked as he let his hands go on a punching bag.

    The heaviest we’ve seen Usyk on the scales was 221lbs in his most recent fight with Joshua, According to Khan, the 35-year-old southpaw has put on 15kg (33lbs) since his previous bout with Joshua.


    If this is to be believed, it is possible we could see Usyk roughly hit the scales at a staggering 254lbs, a stone heavier than what ‘AJ’ weighed in the first fight between the heavyweights and four stone heavier than his final fight at cruiserweight against Tony Bellew.

    It's a terrible mistake for Usyk to gain so much weight. He's a naturally smaller man than Joshua, but his speed and boxing skills enabled him to win the first fight and he could likewise win the rematch.

    But with more bulk, slower footwork and weaker stamina, Usyk will be stopped by Joshua this time.

    He meant 15lbs. Slip of the tongue. If he was up by 15kgs he would look like the Terminator now and get KOed in double quick time. He will likely be around the same weight as fight one or a few pounds more and < 230lbs.

    No chance he comes in that heavy its all smoke and mirrors.

    Does Usyk need to make any significant changes seeing as he beat Joshua fairly soundly first time round. If anything it's Joshua who has to come with something different not Usyk

    It's impossible. As a reminder this would be Joshua's weight at his heaviest against Takam and he is taller and thicker than Usyk. Usyk will be around 227-230 pounds I think.

    I think he will be heavier than in his last fight, but not 254 for sure, maybe 230 max

    No way that's true. He'll be somewhere between 225 to 235 lbs is my guess.

    It’s nonsense, he’s a little smaller looking if anything.

    Khan is talking pish.

    He’ll be much the same as he was last time out.

    Damn, that’s more weight (not much) than my college girlfriend gained freshman year! Half of that weight was in her big tiddies so I didn’t mind.

    Side note, I hope I never see her again. Gravity is undefeated in its battle on big natural boobs (the fake ones are more immune). Just like Father Time is undefeated against boxers. Also, no way Usyk gained that much weight. He will probably come in within ten pounds of his weight for the first fight.

    Fake stories and hype are fun but I don’t believe this one. My girlfriend’s fat (phat!) tiddies story was true unfortunately. By the time the rest of her body caught up to that weight, I was long gone.

    Khan is not the brightest bulb in the box. It's nonsense.

    Usyk will be around 220-225. He'll be a blob at 250.
