The reason he hasn't turned pro is because he wants to win a gold medal for his country. He will turn pro after the Olympics.

CW is a very deep division and there are a lot of very talented fighters with big power plying their trade up there at the moment. CWs are obviously generally faster than HWs too so for sure there's a lot of tough match ups out there for him and all the other top boys at the weight. I think it's going to be hard for any one fighter to dominate at this weight, but Usyk is extremely talented and he's pretty damn tough too. To be honest, I'd much rather he was with a different trainer because I think he's regressed under Bashir.

You just proved your point wrong by putting Carnera in the same line with anyone today.

Basically you just said that any random guy on the streets that's 6'6'' is as good as any heavyweight champion-because that's what carnera was, a random big bum.

He got the worse movement out of any heavyweight ever, the guy looked paraplegic and by his own trainer's account, his chin was so abysmal that he got regularly knocked down by random sparring partners weighting 50 lbs less than him.

Gennady Golovkin could knock Carnera clean out, thanks for outing yourself and your agenda so cleanly :hi: :barf

Usyk is too little. End of. The division has changed, when( IF) Usyk enters the division, the top heads will be: 6'8'' Tyson Fury, 6'6'' Anthony Joshua, 6'5'' Joseph Parker, 6'7'' Deontay Wilder, maybe 7'00'' Taishan Dong, and others.

He'll be a ****ing dwarf, doesn't matter if he's magical, he should stay at cruiserweights.

No 6'3'' boxer can become king of the heavyweights anymore, none.

    The game has changed.

The era of the 6'2 215lbs HW champion is done.

You may get the odd exception. Haye got away with it to an extent because he has legitimate HW power, but even then, when he stepped up against an athletic 6'6 250lbs heavyweight, he couldnt compete.

Look at the last 20 years. The HW division has essentially been dominated by 6'4+ 240lbs+ fighters.

Bowe, Lennox, The Klitschkos. Even Valuev managed to pick up a title, by essentially being massive.

Now you have Fury, Joshua, Wilder,Helenius, all giants.

Even 15 years ago, Lewis was seen as a giant at 6'5

Now 6'5 isnt even considered particularly big

I totally agree but if he has a really good chin and he is all that, stylistically speaking he's got what it takes to trouble tall guys.

All you have to do is demand a heavyweight division split

    220 Heavyweight <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<USYK
    245 Super Heavyweight

Governing bodies will take care of this problem, more divisions is surely better than more belts per a governing body :smoke

Governing bodies that are thinking of ways to increase their $, need to meet the boxing demands, leech on, but at least fix the math please

I hope Usyk will move up soon and I predict that big, strong dudes (Joshua, Wilder) will have a lot of problems with him (and Jennings, too)....

Super Heavyweights are too big for USYK he needs to push for a 220 heavyweight division, all he has to do is write the governing bodies & they will add it as long as he pays the sanctioning fee for the new vacant belt :smoke
