I thought he'd give it up altogether after a Fury rematch to be honest so this was surprising:

Is there anyone outside of Jai Opetaia that's worth Usyk fighting at CW?

I can see the temptation to want beat the guy who is viewed as the new 1 CW at present.

He’s spent too much time around Fury. Talking nonsense is obviously contagious.

Benavidez will be a big fight.

Great for Usyk, fair play to him. Not easy cutting weight when you don’t need too.

    Very interesting.

I have watched a few Ukrainian interviews with Usyk over the years - but none since the Fury fight. I believe it was after the Joshua rematch, he mentioned that he would fight at most 2-3 more times, because he didn't feel his body could go through too many more training camps.

Have to think Turki has dangled the carrot of a bout with Opetaia - or even the winner of Bivol v Beterbiev - with him at cruiserweight.

Am just imagining Usyk boxing an undefeated Russian in a cruiserweight matchup… it would transcend sport.

Risky... dropping down a weight as the years wear on doesn't usually end well.
Surely its Fury rematch and retire? There always another fight but who really generates the interest and the money at the mo.
He's beaten AJ twice, DDD, Fury at least once. Anderson fights Bakole next but might not bring the money to the fight. After that Parker and Zhang. Good fighters could make interesting matchups but not sure Usyk will want to fight on much longer.

He will struggle with the speed of the lighter fighters, or at least need an adjustment period.

He should stay at HW, few big pay days and call it a day

Exactly this, it’ll be built like the old WWF matches like Hogan vs The Iron Sheikh

Although I don’t see it going well for Usyk if he were to drop down, the weight drain alone will be challenging.

Ultimate trolling of the HW's if he pulled it off. Dude becomes undisputed CW champ, moves up, clears out the HW division, despite giving away weight and reach advantages and then, job done, drops the belts and drops back down to CW leaving any HW who picks up his leftovers looking distinctly second rate. You'd have to doff your cap.

I think the difference is Roy packed it on then had to drop alot.

Usyk is a natural cruiser all day

After thFury rematch he could fight Opetaia and he would beat him comfortably. Another option would be to have a swan song against Okolie and claim the Bridgerweight title.

    Winner of Bivol-Betertviev as well.

The talked about a Badou Jack fight at one point.

And there is Opetaian, as you said.

I like any of these better than Joshua III or Dubois II, which is what he will have to do next at heavy to protect the IBF belt.

That's the thing, he wouldn't have to technically drop the belts, as weight divisions are defined by maximum limits, so he continue on until each org strips him. And it wouldn't matter anyway, as he is the lineal heavyweight champion.
If he really felt like trolling, he can even fight Jake Paul and Tommy Fury for the title.
