Not really sure man just kinda went threw the videos on YouTube paying attention to him but didnt really take in the opponent he was fighting, was nobody I knew so their names didnt stick with me.

I know a lot of people whos opinion i respect like you and CST are pretty high on him so by all means I could very well simply be wrong or didnt watch enough of him.

I do look forward to when hes in the mix with the bigger names.

It's interesting to think about. Huck has had problems with taller guys who have boxed him in Ola (first half of 2nd fight) and USS but Usyk has more mobility and quickness with his feet than either. He also uses lateral movement, sharp pivots, angle changes which would be useful against Huck's straight line attacks along with hard counters to stand his ground when an opponent tries to force him back at times.

On the other hand the last guy to give Usyk problems was Nistor and while him and Huck are kind of similar at first glance there are significant differences. Nistor is a lefty, has way better head movement, is more of an infighter who often smothers and does good work at close range. But most importantly he is consistent with his pressure.

In a busy round Huck may have 6-8 bursts where he'll throw a combination while attacking in straight lines but he still like to land with full extension on his punches from an outside range. The majority of the time i can see Usyk being able to avoid them with his feet but while they are very useful from a defensive standpoint his defense isn't dependant upon it. He's very good and comfortable slipping shots at midrange and coming back with his own.

I would be surprised if Huck could impose his ugly game on Usyk tbh, in spots sure, but not with any regularity.

Mchunu vs Makabu was ordered by the WBC as an eliminator for a sweet South African showdown. If Huck moves to HW and Ola beats YPH then perhaps we can finally see some of the fights we want without the German cherrypickers around recycling opponents.

And Usyk won't get an easy walk through any of the current champions even when he reaches his prime.

Usyk is a live dog against almost anybody except for the other even bigger Ukrainian.

He's fought decent opposition so far but nobody in the top ratings, although I think he definitely could handle them too.

I saw him give some super-heavyweight sized opponents a sound schooling in WSB.

Agree, much better than HW. Lots of solid fighters with excellent records and potential.
