It’s comical but not surprising to see all the usual suspects bitching and whining about an obvious low blow being called by the ref. He did his job and Usyk did his job by dominating Dubois. Twitter is burning up by all of the outraged idiots who wanted to see Usyk lose. You people are not true fans of boxing. No part of Dubois’ glove hit Usyk’s body and the ref made the right call. Deal with it. Only Andre Ward got away with those types of punches. It was his signature punch. https://x.com/londonrunz/status/1695759095968510432?s=46&t=yFZW6Dd_gQzN40HUIAgkvg

The ref Pabon has known help to Usyk and Wlad before. He’s a corrupt official, someone made a thread on it earlier

It does not matter if people think the blow was low or legal, either way he was not getting up from it,if Usyk could have jumped back up he would have .

During the post-fight press conference, Usyk said that you can't punch a man's balls. This is true, but then he unintentionally admits he complained of a punch in the sack, so is it a low blow or Usyk is a rare case of high balls?
    1. At the start of round 5 - we can see the shorts are covering the navel: https://i.ibb.co/BNhJ4bf/1.jpg
    2. A moment before the impact - you can't see Usyk's navel, it is covered by the shorts: https://i.ibb.co/tK3fvkZ/2.jpg
    3. You can see his glove covers the tip of his nose, so the hand is up and there is no way his elbow is even lower than the navel that is still covered by the shorts: https://i.ibb.co/Bz2S3ss/3.jpg
    4. This is the impact - the glove landed on the black circle of Usyk's shorts: https://i.ibb.co/nR2tTT7/5.jpg
    5. Here is Usyk standing after the knockdown (or the knockout) - the shorts are still covering the navel: https://i.ibb.co/Jj1SNBD/6.jpg
    6. This is after Usyk knocks out Dubois - no navel: https://i.ibb.co/YPXq9Vz/7.jpg
    7. Usyk declared a winner - already lowered the shorts. You can see his protector in the colours of the Ukrainian flag, so there is no way this was a hit in the balls as he claimed: https://i.ibb.co/56gSTxd/8.jpg
Sorry, embedding images isn't working, as usual, so I have to go with links.

@The Long Count, yes - a few hours later in order to avoid the controversy. He followed the rules and did it when the fighters were in the ring, which Pabon didn't do, so he broke the rule himself.

He said anything on the belt or below would be considered low.
Just ro be clear this is an example of a ref calling where shots are legal.

Again this? A different fight, hours after the controversy happened! How smart. Now let me remind you Luis Bafoon did similar in Usyk-AJ 2, but most importantly did an amazing job to show his incompetence and corruption in Klitschko-Povetkin. Seems like it has to be repeated: The WBA referee manual requires the following actions that Luis didn't do, i.e. he broke the rules: "Once the boxers have been announced, he will greet them in the center of the ring and give them their final instructions. These instructions should be brief, as they have already been previously instructed. Confirm your authority, establish the waistlines and reiterate any bout specific concerns. Long dramatic instructions serve no purpose and may create a circus like atmosphere." So an incompetent and corrupt man is supposed to apply the rules.

Wow I missed the ref's instructions, it's plain as day: The belt line is illegal. Period.

    How can anyone dispute this?

Luis Bafoon said "I gave you instructions in the dressing room" which is against the rules and we don't know what instructions he gave. You are seeing a short video from another fight and refer to it as if this is Usyk-Dubois.

I'm going to watch for blows like this like a hawk and point them out every time. You will see how often refs let them go and how little crying fighters do about it.

What? That’s a different fight. A fight where Anderson hit Rudenko over & over again on the belt & below.

Most referees do not mention the rule about beltline as part of instructions in the ring. They only do so if they consider the trunks to be too high. Pabon did not believe Usyk had them too high.
Awful refereeing. Rudenko's job was to lose, so why would the referee bother to enforce the rules he himself mentioned 15 minutes ago?
