2) It was an uppercut, so the punch was moving upward, i.e. the impact isn't the frame where it first grazes the trunks but where it connects

No, it is legal to strike anywhere on the body above the belt, arms, neck or head that is at the front or side. It is illegal to strike the back. However some punches are not effective wearing gloves, just as some punches are inadvisable if not wearing gloves - bareknuckle and gloved boxing are two different things.

 

In times when we can rewind and rewatch the entire moment in slow motion in FullHD or 4K, some people give poor-quality screenshots.

There is literally no way anyone can say that was not a low blow. The photos do not lie. People just sore cause Usyk beat that kid up.

 

Just shows the magic of videography. This angle looks clean while others make it look low. (I think it was low but not very low.)
