I was watching Usyks fights again today...to say he is a better cruiserweight than Holyfield is utter madness...people need to get a grip. Holyfield would of destroyed Usyk...and the style is just so much more exciting and pleasing to watch. Please people...come back to reality.....David Haye probably beats Usyk at Cruiser too.
the jury is still out on usyk thats why i have usyk on my top most hyped fighters today but we will see how good he really is at heavyweight i know his accomplishments and the journeys he took to fighting others in their own backyards . Very impressive winning those belts in that kind of way road warrior keep in mind when i say usyk is hyped that means exactly what it means he is hyped by his fans until he does what hes been labelled to do if usyk beats the heavyweights like his fans claim he will then. he was exactly as branded however if he does not do that and fails to do so he has been overated underated or overated only usyk can decide and prove the critics wrong or right note : do not get butthurt over what i said usyk fanboys. im saying usyk is hyped for now can he beat those heavyweights ? maybe he can maybe he cant. im not doubting usyk im simply saying the jury is still out on him. Dont get butthurt over this posts fanboy
That's a terrible example. The Haye that won and defended the crusierweight title wouldn't have been beaten by Thompson the way the green inexperienced Haye was either.
Yeah he is. First of, cruiset Holyfiield isn't comparable to heavyweight Captain America serum Holyfield. 2nd, what Usyk did at cruiser was obviously much more impressive. You have to cut Holyfield's career off at Cruiser and then compare that to what Usyk did. I get people feel threatened by a non American making history, but it's just the way it is.
It's about CRUISERWEIGHT... Even if he had been a million times Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight and Middleweight champion, all by KO it still doesn't count for CRUISERWEIGHT!
The reality is that Usyk has defeated multiple proven top tier fighters all in their own backyards and unified a division. A feat comparable to Holyfield and one that makes any Haye comparisons laughable.
What does Usyks accomplishments at HW have to do with his legacy at cruiserweight? Usyks CW legacy is set in stone. What he does at HW has no more impact on his accomplishments at CW than Holyfields does after gaining 20 lbs of lean muscle and jumping up a division.
Usyk resume at CW is far more impressive than Hollyfields. Usyk beat half a dozen more impreesive CWs than Hollyfield best win at that weight in Qwai. That said, weather Usyk will be as good a of HW that Hollyfield was is a totally different story.
You can only be the best of your time and fight the best opponents available. Both Holyfield and Usyk have done that during their cruiserweight careers. I also believe that Holyfield would have beaten everyone that Usyk has fought and Usyk would have done the same with all Holyfields cruiserweight opponents. So imo who was better is decided by your own personal preference of the two fighters. Maybe you prefer Holyfields versatile all action style or maybe the way Usyk controls and is able to dictate the manner of each fight?
