Usyk agreed to 30% then made out it was not having a rematch clause that broke the camels back. Really Usyk just wants his private saudi deal and so does Fury... 30% for Usyk in a UK fight with Fury still nets him around $20m which is triple, quadruple what he can earn anywhere else other than Saudi in Dec. Pretty decent money for Usyk either way although Fury with tax deduction etc doesn't make anything special unless it destroys PPV records. Can't charge $100 for it either like Floyd Scamweather.

The real problem here is should this fight go ahead is the Dubious risk, because there still is a risk worth it? Definitely not...even if it means dropping a belt. That said Usyk will box his head off and we'll be sitting happy.

This split debate is a non discussion not sure why people are even getting involved because even the fighters themselves don't get involved, it's straight up objective facts and figures that determine what a fighter makes split wise, however the Saudi deals are different because they are private deals between host and fighter.

People have already pointed out if Saudi weren't involved then Fury AJ is still probably a bigger money fight than Fury Usyk which is bad news for only one man.

Not that it should be the defining moment because Fury achieved that in 2020 after officially beating Wilder where he was the undisputed best HW on the planet for the 2nd time in his career and remains so.
