I didn't watch the fight but scene scored it a draw. Was hoping Briedis scored the upset, guess the judges just weren't on his side.
I did not get to watch the fight yet. But looking forward to doing so. Briedis is a heck of a fighter. Glad he showed what he can do, from what I've heard of the fight.
The fight was early as **** in the morning for me. What do you mean I didn't "even bother" to watch the fight. I was looking forward this one for a while. And I'm talking about the SCENE, they score it 114-114, and they're usually impartial for the most part.
The judges were neutral. It was a close fight but Usyk won it thanks to his superior workrate / stamina.
I had it 117-111 or 116-112 Usyk, it wasn't close. Not sure what the judges were watching. CompuBox is trash, why even cite it?
It was incredibly close, but I did think Usyk seemed to edge it by a round. Briedis was winning fairly clearly early on by landing much better hits. But Briedis slowed down noticeably after getting a bloody nose in the 5th. I'd say Briedis showed us Usyk probably doesn't have any business with the top players at heavyweight unless he makes some fundamental changes.
Not a draw, more like 115 - 113, or even 8 rounds to 4, as Usyk was the better boxer...................this fight was good for Usyk and Usyk fought Briedis in his own back yard, that is something SOB Ward would never do, in fact, SOB said that neutral judges would be unfair to him!
