Period. He isn't a feather first. He hurt Joshua multiple times and chose to play it safe. He hurt Fury. Anyone who thinks this guy can't punch is living in a fantasy world.
Agree. That one left hand shot, high on Fury’s Head, started Fury spiraling, and what should’ve been the stoppage. Usyk has it all.
Yep. Might not be a huge power puncher or anything, but he clearly has enough to keep his opponent humble.
Also he is a converted southpaw. So his right hook is probably his best punch but he hardly uses it with full power.
He sure can. Not sure how many of the top 10-15 he can stop but he certainly has some sting when he leans into those straight shots. Unlike Dubois, these top heavyweights have heart. Zhang Joyce Parker Hrgovic…heck even Whyte and Ruiz would all be hard for Usyk to KO.
Been saying so all along. It's almost like a lot of people who post on here don't understand the sport. His style is to waste nothing and hit and not be hit, so he does not commit to punches until later in the fight. But you can't look at the Huck and Bellew stoppages, and what he did to Fury and Joshua, and not understand that he's got power when he needs it.
Um how about no. Usyk landed numerous flush punches against a shop worn Fury and couldn't legit drop him. Steve Cunnigham was able to drop a in shape for his standards prime Fury and Cunnigham isn't much of a puncher. Usyk isn't much of a puncher but the thing is despite what his fanboys tell you, Tyson Fury can't really take a punch well.
People who don’t think Usyk has pop are casuals. There’s a reason no one has been able to walk through him.
Seems like Usyk has more single shot punching power than Wilder who never quite managed to hurt Fury albeit managing to knock him down four times (3 were mostly due poor balance and Fury easily beat the count for the one legit KD).
Hahaha, if they gave the mic to Fury any longer, he'd be talking about "Don't ever play with matches!" like Judah!
