The ring did look very small. wouldn't surprise me . Eddie was bigging up Chizza before the fight and knows he has a reasonable fanbase.

 

Regarding the ring, isn’t the size contractualised. The most famous example of ring tampering in recent years was Klitschko’s attempt at softening the canvas before the Fury fight but Big Mick and Big Peter put a stop to that sharpish.

 

I'm still staggered how all that was dealt with. Nothing short of blatant corruption. Did we ever get an explanation as to how those drugs ended up in his system and why the gloves were changed?

This is the problem, Hearn works with Usyk, Chisora and AJ so who is looking out for Usyk? His promoter who is Hearn?

I have no proof but I reckon there were some shenanigans going on, the ring looked small to me, it looked small on screen, Hearn reckons they measured the ring.

Maybe the "canvas" was a certain size, that may have been in the contract, then when the posts and ropes go up it suddenly takes a couple of foot from the space all the way around... get what I mean?

Maybe in the contract it said something vague like the "canvas" is or has to be a certain size and not taking in to account the posts, ropes and ring apron.

I wouldn't put that past the crafty tossers.


As for the gloves, that is difficult because that may have been something that wasn't even thought about until after contracts are signed and can you imagine listing all the makes of gloves?

Probably something in the contract about the BBBofC allowing or disallowing gloves.


Yeah the Klitschko's had a reputation for pulling all sorts of stunts.
