Let's keep his thread going, mate. It's clearly very important for our boy like a pigeon and he needs it to safely reach the next stages of the grieving process.

This is a good description of why I also think Briedis was tougher.

Usyk himself disagrees with you. Says that when he was hit by Fury's uppercut in the 6th round he felt great pain, thought his teeth were knocked out and thanked God he was still standing.

Some people are way to invested in disputing the only man who knows for certain: Usyk.

Which begs the question: why is it so important for them to downplay Usyks achievement?

Regardless of what some people will say the fight wasn't one sided. Fury did have success where others haven't in the mid rounds, and that's what makes the rematch so intriguing.

    Bring on December.

Rather than just noting it you need to factor in the weight that actually carries.

Usyk wasn't armchair quarterbacking in front of a TV set. He was seeing and feeling what was going on in that ring, first hand. We only saw that uppercut Fury landed on him in the 6th round. He felt it.

In any case, it is Usyk's opinion and nothing we say here will change it.

But Usyk's opinion goes against the anti-Fury narrative and because it came directly from him, many have found themselves totally compromised.

Outside of calling Usyk's opinion into question, their only recourse is to try and detract from Usyk (age, size etc) in the hope it indirectly detracts from Fury.

The anti Fury and anti Wilder narrative went too far thats why. They went beyond saying they are good but not the best to allegging they are frauds who were never top HWs. Thought Tyson pretty much losing to a 0-0 MMA fighter makes it understandable that doesn't change Furys good performances against respected fighters.

It's school playground level stuff but boxing forums tend to attract simpletons who feel better about themselves while they are pouring hate on others.

Fury is #2 HW of our era. He's beaten Wlad, Whyte, Wallin, and Wilder multiple times. Apparently Fury only fights guys w W last names. He also beat Chisora multiple times and Schwarz.

Wilder has done very little though. His best win was over a 38 year old, Ortiz, whom he beat again when he was 40 yrs old. But Wilder losing widely to his 2nd and 3rd best opponents, in Parker and Zhang, dont count cause he was 38 years old. Wilder had 1 competitive fight w Fury where very corrrupt judging gave him a draw and was rightfully beaten to a pulp in fights 2 and 3. Other than that his resume is full of fringe Top 10 guys and journeymen level fighters
