Sometimes. Boxing have literal hypemen in promoters who sell stories to media stations to push narratives. Wilder was an entertaining fighter but some of the media around him, looking back now, is just hilarious:

Communities like this help right those wrongs. There's an author among us, probably more than one, who help clarify misunderstandings which are demonstrable once financial incentive has been removed from the equation.

I think one thing you have to take into consideration is Usyk is an anglophile. Great Britain has been very good to Usyk and he's very popular over here.

It's been very fertile hunting ground for him. He won his Olympic gold medal over here. He fought over here in the WSB. He won his three HW titles over here against AJ. Beat Bellew and Chisora over here.

He looks up to us Brits and if I'm not mistaken all these comedic call out videos he's made have only been for British fighters. It's a respect thing.

Look at all the crap he's put up with from Belly and even AJ with his in ring post-fight meltdown. He forgave them immediately but when Huck disrespected him we saw Dark Usyk. I see Usyk praising his British opponents a lot but not so much his non Brit ones.

Stop making sense, please. You will get a response along the lines of “Usyk said Fury was the hardest fight he ever had, cope” or “keep bumping my thread” :D

I think thats up in the air but Fury was the champ of this era not AJ. More talking about AJ fans double standards and exagarrating then saying they are wrong to have him number 2(up in the air). AJ does have a better resume than Fury the last year solidified that but before then there really wasn't a big difference. And in turn Furys resume wasn't that much better than Wilders(before the losses obviously).

Tbh my explanation for Wilder losing to Parker as bad as he lost Parker knowing Wilder well from training with Fury not his age.

Wilder scored 2 knockdowns and Fury scored none and Wilder won a few rounds. The idea a draw was a robbery against Fury is unfounded. If you're up 2-0 in knockdowns even if you're outfought a bit youre going to usually win. The card that scored it to Wilder was very generous but throwing that aside Wilder could have won that fight just not with the score that judge gave.

As a generalization you might be on to something there but let's not forget Usyk gave ample praise to Briedis, after they fought back in 2018.

I suspect Briedis has some British ancestry. The iron chin is a dead giveaway

As intent as the US have been on Americanizing us all we Aussies still include the 'u' where it is meant to be included. Example colour, flavour etc.

it’s nothing more than the beginning of the hype for the rematch, how people can’t see that is a mystery

Why people can't take Usyk for his word is the mystery.

Irrelevant. He said his toughest fight was Fury. He said it.

He said it, he himself said it, don't you understand?

Behind closed doors he prances about in his monocle and hunting jacket intoning "I am feel. I am most feel."
