Usyk is P4P#1, no doubt. Even Crawford giving him his respect. I'm a fan of all three, because I love the sweet science, and they all represent this sport so well in the ring. The fact that Usyk is beating (and in my opinion just KO'd Fury) goliath-sized fighters, giving up height, reach, weight, and experience at HW (remember Usyk only has 6 fights at HW), seals the deal for me.

I always give Usyk his props

Anyone worth their salt can see he can do things (just like Fury) that have never been done before by other men. True originals. The man could put out 800-1000 punches when he was a cruiser.

I even remember the very first time I saw and found out about Usyk. A picture of his goofy gappy toothed head with his ponytail on another forum in 2012. I said to myself LOOK AT THIS DUDE, this can't be a real person surely?...and hell it was a real person (him chewing on his 2012 gold medal picture)

You're a strange one, but you're alright. Anyways, now I gotta go rewatch the fight again without the DAZN commentary.

All commentary for the fight is bad and incredibly biased towards Fury.

I don't think it's that. Inoue and Crawford are just more athletic for their size. Usyk never dominated anyone at Cruiser or heavyweight like Inoue or Crawford.

Inoue and Crawford never struggled with anyone like Usyk did vs Chisora or Briedis (world class fighter)

Usyk is great but just not as dominant as those 2 and beating an old past it Fury in a close fight doesn't change anythin that for me

I'm the truest sense of the word, Usyk has been the p4p best boxer in the world for 8 years. He just didn't have the recognition.

This conversation needs to be deaded.

People always go with the most recent fighter. Right now Usyk is leading in the votes. Why? Because he fought less than 24 hours ago. Inoue had it for 3/4 days before Crawford demolished Spence. Canelo hasn't had a mega match up since the second GGG fight, but he stays in the argument because..........

Arguments can be made for each and people will go in circles defending it. The P4P list is really created for those who don't participate no more, at all, or never have in the ring. It gives us something to talk about.

Real rankings matter when the field is facing each other. That's why the NBA, NFL, MLB, etc... don't have "ranking" debates to gain a championship.

But I will conceive that Inoue and Crawford have had many more dominating performances. They also have fought lesser opposition than Usyk.

usyk undisputed two weight classes and winning the heavyweight undisputed honestly bring him ahead.

I hold p4p when there is one boxer so special it's needed. I'd say Usyk did the most special thing of an active boxer and it's not close.
