Do you think Munguia was a better opponent than Fury?

At his peak, Fury was better. Fury is no longer prime though, and is easier to beat at this stage in his career. The Munguia that Canelo beat was prime / peak.

Fury had bad performances in the past just like Munguia has, but the Fury that fought Usyk on saturday, was in peak form. Who's performance was better in defeat? Fury or Munguia?

Fury's performance was a mixed bag. It was a tale of two halves. Munguia was not embarrassed like Fury was down the stretch.

I thought Fury performed better and looked more dominant in the rounds that he won imo. Usyk is p4p number 1, this really isn't arguable.

Bro Munguia is not that guy. No one has ever rated him. We all said he’s a loss waiting to happen. Canelo also got hit a lot against this Munguia.

If Canelo beats Benavidez he’s back in that convo, Munguia doesn’t do that for him.

Canelo needs Benevidez to even be in the argument right now. Munguia was a good win just not as good a scalp as Tyson Fury.

Well it's a zero-sum game. If you're aruging that Fury performed better against Usyk in the rounds he won, than Munguia did against Canelo, then the inverse of that is that Canelo performed better against Munguia than Usyk did against Fury.

No that just proves that beating Fury is much more impressive than beating Munguia. Which it is.

Usyk performed better against Dubois than Canelo did against Canelo, even though the body shot was legal. Munguia is a Dubois.

You're avoiding the comparison. Canelo performed way better against Munguia than Usyk did against Fury. If your argument is that Munguia isn't "that guy", that says nothing about how he compares to the version of Fury who fought Usyk. I agree that at his peak, Fury is a better opponent than Munguia. But Fury at this stage of his career is clearly well past his peak, whilst Munguia is in his prime / at his peak.

Canelo beat a prime / peak fighter far more easily and impressively than Usyk beat a past it Fury.
